Their pharmacy is frustrating. You go thru the website, ordering a refill, yet you wait in line only to be told wait some more while we get it ready. I mean, whats the point of doing the online thing?
Their hours seem to fluctuate, and their web hours dont match what they post in the store (lunch hour in particular).
Prices for general goods are higher than at competing stores like Fred Meyer and Walmart, but its much quicker in/out here.
Great place to get vaccinations, but plan on waiting quite a while even if you have an appointment.

I am appalled at how customers are treated in the pharmacy. I will NEVER go back. I Sat and watched them interact w/ numerous customers. Unfriendly, scowling faces, abrupt, " I couldn't care less about you" attitude. I thought it was just one person's attitude when I first went in. But when I went back later it was the same attitude with 2 other people. Messy counter, open coke bottle sitting by the register, my instructions from the pharmacist was "take this twice a day every 12 hours for 5 days". And essentially tossed it on the counter and walked away. New med I've never taken. WOW. You've got major problems behind that counter!

The absolute nicest and kindest employees. Come in knowing absolutely nothing about the product I needed. The cashier assisted, and when needed more info regarding the product, he asked someone in the cosmetology section to come and assist instead of just leaving me to figure it out. These two were proof that amazing customer service and compassion is very much still alive. Thank you so much for your kindness and help ?

Absolutely, the worst pharmacy ever! I have several prescriptions at this pharmacy so I'm in there, often: I NEVER see ANYONE that works there smile! They're not only very slow, filling a prescription, they're now closing on Saturdays and Sundays!!!?

One member of the staff, an older woman who I overheard saying she used to live in San Francisco was extremely rude. She said "I don't know if you're married, but if you are your husband..." to another patron, which these days is assuming a lot.She repeatedly referred to me as "he", despite the fact that I have long hair, obvious breasts, and was dressed in a way that wasn't remotely masculine. When I called her out on it, she refused to apologize, making it clear it was deliberate.

Drove down for a quick drop off at the military training camp. On the way in we stopped for a quick item and could not believe how clean and neat the place was. Right when we walked in the person at the registered welcomed us and was very helpful.

Traveling through Astoria for an event, three of us visited this store on Friday, May 26 because a member of our group had forgotten her insulin and we had already struck out at the independent pharmacy in town. The workers at the Walgreens pharmacy counter ignored and avoided eye contact with her, and when she was eventually acknowledged by the pharmacist, he responded to her with disgust and closed for lunch, refusing service for a woman in increasingly urgent need of insulin. It is my opinion that she was treated this way because of her race. After it became clear that service was being denied to her in this way, we returned nearly $100 worth of merchandise to the shelves and continued down the road to Rite Aid, who happily communicated with her pharmacist and solved the problem effectively even though it was the end of the business day at home in Detroit. Had Rite Aid not come through on this problem, we would have had to drive towards Seattle overnight and miss our event.
