I went into this store to stock up on some stuff for friends coming in town. I am disabled, with an invisible disability, and the owner of the store accused me of trying to steal because I was sitting on the ground trying to organize the bottles in those wine bottle bags to they wouldn’t hit each other. The owner then told me to use a cart, and then proceeded not only to yell at me when I said “Jesus Christ” (while attempting to go from sitting on the floor to standing position with neuromuscular disease and severe pain) without assistance. Honestly she’s LUCKY those were the only words that came out. I tried to explain that I was disabled, but before I could say anything she yelled at me and told me to grow up and act like an adult Or I’d be kicked out of the store. (Did I mention I’m 42 but look young). I said what just happened? Her response was, “it was the Jesus Christ!” I ended up having to get a cart and go up to the counter where I then inverted every single reusable bag I had inside out to prove I wasn’t stealing. Did I mention that i spent around $200 too? This woman was a horror of a human being and should be ashamed of herself. I don’t care if your family has been here forever, that does not give you the right to treat people like trash. I’d give it a negative score if I could. The staff members looked terrified and were completely silent while I was checking out. I was also the only person in the store oh, and there weren’t any carts when I first walked in. Shame on you, lady. Can’t wait to see you try and discriminate against me like that again. I already reported YOU to the mayors office of Waldport for discriminating against people with disabilities. These guys are just as sweet as they can be! Thanks s much for not making me feel self-conscious for not knowing much about all things liqueur/liquor when I needed that one specific thing!! I guess sometimes you need a moderate quality to maximize your liquor quantity for that get- together where it's the more the merrier 'cuz everyone is staying over anyway - and for the same crowd, the best liqueur you can get your hands on is the thing because you need like one teaspoon for the sauce and that flavor is everything!! Took some notes after I got home, and just felt great about my learning -and laughing- experience!!
