Roughly handled my cat and treated her poorly. Would not recommend this vet.
A tech walked into the exam room and without interacting with my cat at all picked her up from behind which surprised her and made her hiss at the tech. To me this was a simple issue, you scared my cat with carelessness and she hissed because of it. Now when the tech returned with the vet for the full exam they decide to scruff my cat tightly for the entire exam. They pinned her down the whole time. I wish I spoken up but I did not realize how badly it was going to affect her. Once we got home she was terribly anxious and was refusing dinner. I bet now my cat will be scared of vets forever. Prior to this she’s always been so good with vets, being friendly and loving. The only time she’s hissed before was when getting shots. And my previous vet responded to the hissing without pinning my cat down and just gently holding her.
My only positive experience was with the front desk ladies who got to pet my cat and see how loving she is.
I know this vet has really good reviews, it is why I gave them a shot. But I cannot recommend anyone go here. I also have since called to tell them how I think their treatment of my cat was unacceptable and not okay but have not heard back at all. Shows they do not take concerns like these seriously.

We moved states a year ago and I still call this vet with medical questions on my dogs! They are always super helpful. My dog was prescribed a certain brand of medicine here and they were super helpful with letting me know the brand and what it was prescribed for . I recommend this vet to anyone that I still know in the Portland area

I've now gone to this clinic since getting my cats 15 years ago. Dr. G has been amazing in every way! Our two cats were feral kittens that we had no background on except for the fact that they were with their young kitty mother in a friend's yard and she caught them to rehome the babies. The male cat had quite an issue with kidney stones and blockages which required a lot of extra care and he has been great ever since his surgery. We trust this clinic, and recommend it highly.

Been coming here for probably three years now with two dogs and have always enjoyed my experiences. One of my dogs had a bowel obstruction and came in multiple days for treatment and just had my other dog go for a visit to assess a new lump. Very professional and kind staff. Costs have always been reasonable as well. Highly recommend

Such a great experience! Everyone was so kind and accommodating... and they all fell in love with our little kitty! It was obvious that they take pride in the work they do and the people and animals they work with.

Love the fact that they understood how I wanted to take care of my elderly dog and not push testing and procedure that stresses him. Would highly recommend them so caring and understanding.

This is a great vet office. We moved out of the area last year but I still take my cats here. There is never any pressure or shame involved in their care, and everyone on staff is very friendly and professional. One of our cats has had mouth/teeth issues for years and on this most recent cleaning needed a few teeth removed. The whole process was easy and without complication. When we first moved to Tualatin 6 years ago I had taken her to two other vets to get opinions and both said she needed teeth removed asap. Dreading the process and the price, I took her here for a third opinion and they were shocked, saying that she truly only needed a cleaning. I trust this office to make decisions that are best for my pet, not their own wallet.

An extremely high-quality vet clinic. We've been taking our two small dogs there and they have received nothing but the finest care. All the vets at this clinic are top-notch and very compassionate, as all vets should be but often aren't. I'm most impressed with their pricing compared to other clinics we have used in the past. When the pricing is fair it is much easier in these tough economic times to give our pets the care they deserve. And this clinic does not constantly "upsell", encouraging more expensive and unnecessary tests and procedures. They fix your pet up, make recommendations for future care and you are out the door. We've never waited more than 5 minutes for any visit. Very highly recommended!!

Wow. We feel so, so lucky to have found this clinic and Dr. Hughson. We have some pups and a cat with some interesting (and rare and mind blowing) medical concerns and they have truly gone above and beyond in their treatment. We have never had a single negative encounter. Also, they are probably one of the most affordable vets in the area. As a couple of educators who are often pinching pennies, we’ve been so grateful for their efforts to make quality care accessible. ❤️To all you at the clinic: we adore you. We appreciate you. You are absolutely incredible!

Friendly professional pet clinic. They absolutely have a heart for the animals that they see and treat them and their owners with kindness and compassion. I love having a place like this where I can take my pets and know that they are in good capable hands
