I have been using Sherwood Auto Repair for the last 16 years or so. They have worked on numerous vehicles for me and my friends and a few neighbors. I don't know anyone that was not satisfied with their work ...for a number of good reasons. Foremost is their honesty. They do their best to determine what is wrong and tell you what they can do to fix it. They don't "upsell". They don't recommend work, parts, or services to fatten the bill. Which means they are usually less expensive then a dealer. In the most extreme case for me ...dealer said my Toyota pickup needed a new engine for $tousands but Sherwood got me running again for $400 in repairs. That was 14 years ago and the pickup is still running. They are a small "family" type shop but have high-skill, certified, mechanics and trustworthy pricing. For me, they are to auto-repair what Les Schwab is to tires. Friendly, high skill, trustworthy, resonable in price. You can't do better than that.

I have used Sherwood Auto for several vehicles over the years and they always exceed my expectations. Their services are affordable to begin with, but they also give honest feedback about the priority of any needed repairs allowing for proper budgeting. I've never felt talked down to or dismissed in any way, a welcome change compared to many past experiences with mechanics.

"Inspected" my brother's car. They failed to miss the blatantly obvious worn-out ball joints. When I took a look myself it was very clear that these were bad whether they failed to check or didn't out of negligence. If safety is your concern don't take your vehicle here.

Being a new customer, I experienced thoughtful, timely service. They are very good at documenting my concerns and things that I have been maintaining for many years. It's nice to have that kind of commitment to service especially, if you like maintaining your vehicle for dependability and years of service.

Once again, the great staff at Sherwood Auto Repair has been a pleasure. They gave me a breakdown of repairs needed, and worked with me financially to address the safety concerns first.
