“The place itself is beautiful, full of natural light and SO many racks of dresses. We scheduled an appointment online, and as soon as we got there, we were ushered to the back area with separate areas for the brides trying on dresses. They even have a front area with a pedestal and even more natural light. The staff were amazing and helped us with everything. They even gave us a little bit of time since it was a slow day. Their dresses turn over in two weeks, so we ended up going back a second time. These dresses are deeply discounted and completely beautiful.”
“Nordia HouseHome of Ollie Bollie the troll.Famous troll artist Thomas Dambo brings his creation to Portland and Nordia House is the location. In addition to Ollie Bollie, Nordia House has beautiful grounds to walk and wonderful exhibits inside .Be sure to check out the cafe with a slice of Nordic cuisine and drink. The fresh daily soups are fantastic and the charcuterie plate has many delightful items to fill you up.”
10AM - 5PM
4949 SW 76th Ave, Portland“I had such a great experience at Adorned in Grace shopping for my wedding dress. The volunteers were so helpful and kind, helping me talk through fit and how alterations would work and just what suited my body and the vibe I was going for. I am a popular size but was still able to try on a good variety of options within my budget, which they were very respectful to stay under when helping me pick out dresses to try. Highly recommend!”

1736 SW Alder St, Portland“A non-profit where you can find all things art you want/ need! Starting a new skill? Come take a class! Need help and not sure where to start? Everyone at SCRAP PDX is helpful and insightful.”
“I love the book corner. I visit every weekend and I'm never disappointed. Such friendly and great staff, wonderful prices (can't beat it) and it's in such a cute area. I love that all of the proceeds go back to the local library.”
“Other than the pick up/drop off traps and your fur friend(s) times leaving you in the middle of rush hour traffic I don't have much to complain about. The people here are providing a great service. They care about the animals safety & health not to mention the communities they live in. I totally recommend the Feral Cat Coalition of Oregon in SW Portland”
“The cats seem happy here so it must be a good place. This is a great place if you're looking to adopt a cat. The catS only focus is unique and it is quieter and tamer than most animal shelters with dogs. The place is clean and well kept up, and the staff/volunteers are really cool. If you're looking for a cat or kitten, this is the place to go.”
“Great job curating and displaying a really important part of Portland history. There is a great exhibit by the artist Bong Wai Chen. The staff are great and welcoming to the public, letting people know the important forgotten history”

3410 S Bond Ave, Portland“We have stayed here multiple times with our daughter. She loves going there and we love it because it is one less thing we need to worry about when she needs to be at the hospital. We live almost 2 hours away so it's great for those early morning appointments.”
“I love this place. Libraries are great places in general. What I appreciate about this particular branch is the small town feel you get from interacting with the staff. Yes, I can self checkout but sometimes I want to say, “Hello,” to a familiar face. Some of the staff have known my adult kids since they were little (coming in for story time) and they still inquire about them. The quality of being known and treated like a neighbor and friend is a gift and much appreciated.”
6:30AM - 6PM
310 NW Glisan St, Portland“Behold, one of the great places responsible for my healthy weight, something I've gotten to enjoy for the first time in my life. All my life, I have struggled with being underweight, to varying degrees, and after a while, began to think that was simply how I was. After arriving in Portland, in just a month, I gained 7 pounds, and that's something I've struggled with even while trying weight training, protein drinks, and over indulging in calories. The healthy food here makes a difference. A salad, fruit, and a meal changed my life, one meal at a time. The love can be felt in abundance, and the people volunteering to serve these meals are some of the kindest heroes. It's amazing to see this, and I wish this level of heroic strength, open-mindedness, and generosity was across this nation.Even beyond the food, these volunteers sometimes provide care packages that handle much needed essentials, from wound care to hygiene, and the ever elusive gloves. I hope that it is known that the kind messages and sweet stickers put on these care packages are uplifting and supportive, offering optimism and hope through difficult times and moods. Thank you all!”
“My aunt and uncle (Gary and Ellen Wolfe) have been volunteer members and fixtures of Post 180 since I was a kid and the post was at a different location. My mom Katie was a member for many years as well as an avid bowler.Through the passage of time Wolves, Downeys, Marthallers, Wilsons, and even Thorps joined or participated at one time or another - Easter Breakfast was a tradition for several years, and more than one family function took center stage at Post 180… including my dads memorial service January 2015.When I say that dropping by the Legion any given day or night will find you welcomed like family, I mean it quite literally.I haven’t been since 2015 and I know the family tree has been losing its leaves but the best part about the legion as a group and this post especially, it’s like one of those canning jar cake mix gifts people used to give in lieu of baking themselves, whether or not you are a member, you are the missing ingredients needed to whip up the batter and make that cake.A friendly group of low key regulars just waiting for someone to plug in the music and start dancing so the seat warmers will have something new to talk about.LolIf the news is on you owe to these veterans to drown that negativity out and make them have to speak up to hear (this causes the thirst so they will need to drink up)The owners or someone there picked all the music in that machine so you go crazy and play whatever you like. And if you see some toes tapping go ask them for a dance. Then sit with them and ask about their service.Always tip the barmaid/tender extra for disturbing their peace. ;)My 4 out 5 stars is because rental of the venue doesn’t close the party to the public which is why my wedding reception and the parents 50th and a few other shindigs were at post 150 up off Crystal Springs blvd and 89th - exclusive use - huge parking lot and hall with kitchen etcNot typically open to the public ever.Sometimes the public is nice to have - adds mystery to random conversations with people at some wake or religious fellowship wondering who’s cousins spouse or kid this is only to find out they came with the bar stools ??My cousin Tommy met his wife there when she was tending bar one Easter, made the best Bloody Mary’s (horseradish no tobasco) and when us girls took my mom out on her 70th we ended up at the Legion because we assumed a cousin or two might be there and they were. There was also a semi private party that night for a young man home from the middle east in whichever conflict was in 2004…My adorable mother walked up to the band and asked for the mic then proceeded to thank all these complete strangers for coming to HER party (she was dead serious but so sincere… not completely lit at all ?) and this lovely family clapped and the kids dad gave her a hug and I was laughing too hard to intervene.Love you guys!Cousin Trish “The dog lady” Aunt Katie’s daughter, Mark and Jims sister. (Thorps)”
“"Portland Center Stage is an exceptional venue that hosts a range of captivating plays. Its offerings tend to lean towards the sophisticated & snoopy, which, while impressive, might not resonate with everyone. It would be fantastic to see them introduce plays that are a bit more accessible to the general public. Making the themes and narratives easier to grasp could help attract a broader audience, ensuring more people can enjoy the magic of live theater. Regardless, it remains a top spot for those who appreciate high-quality productions.”

9498 SW Barbur Blvd #101, Portland“Whether beginning a new life path or wanting to increase your knowledge of a purposeful life, this Center is absolutely a fantastic vehicle to accomplish either goal.”
“I took the Food Handlers course. It was easy to navigate and the test went very smoothly. And the best part...I entered a contest to win a stay st the Historic Hood River Hotel AND WON!!! Thanks ORLA!!! See you in 2 years when my food handlers card expires!!!”
10AM - 6PM
13475 SW Millikan Way, Beaverton“I love this place! Though at times the volunteers are disconnected from the customers. I've noted my times when assistance has been needed. And seen a large number of customers leave due to the fact that help is few and far between! The Forest Grove site is a disaster that's already happened, and again the staff are Curt and available most times.”
“This is an excellent event space for certain conferences and such. It's clean, easy to get to, and the people running the place are super nice, friendly, and helpful.”
“i reached out when my baby was 4 months old with a prescription but the head person in that department at that time refused me service and discouraged me to be on the waitlist. she passed me along to their other location in Montana, where i was paying over 120 dollars for shipping. my husband lost his job and i recently tried to call back asking for help and no one has returned my call for months.*update* after i left a review, leslie reached out to me from this location- she was very receptive and kind to want to assist me. at this point i had the best experience with jessica in the Montana location since she was able to help me and my baby for the longest time.i am thankful for this organization and wish them well.”
“Just joined the Legion. The memers are real...welcoming...friendly...PROUD to either have served or PROUD to have family that have served. So happy to be a part of something truly exceptional! Ordered food ...Taco salad and tacos were amazing!”
“Absolutely wonderful Library! Very clean and well kept. Helpful and knowledgeable employees. BUT, don't bother trying to use there scanning printing system. Outdated system with new tech spliced in, is simple a debacle to try and use, for patrons and employees alike, as it seems no one can nail down the best or even an exact way to utilize the system. It comes accross as "high tech" at first glance and yet you can only pay with coins or bills, no debit/credit card payments accepted. It is definitely not a user friendly set up. Try a Fedex, a family members printer or just buy a scanner/printer of your own.”
“It’s like a precious gem in the middle of Lake Oswego! This used book store is similar to Powells except all the books are reasonably priced, it’s super clean, tons of genres to choose from. The staff is extra friendly and helpful. I love this store!”
“A dedicated staff of volunteers who are willing to provide the endless hours needed to help those in need make the variety of services offered here possible. The patience and dedication they demonstrate on a daily basis is truly amazing. Their non judgemental sincere concern and caring is evidence of their commitment to every individual who walks in their door asking for assistance. Instead of feeling like you are being given a handout based on pity you leave with the feeling someone honestly just wanted to give you a hand up and that they understand everyone goes through hard times. Whether it is a food box, counseling or one of the other many services they provide it is the individuals who selflessly commit their time who make this place truly special.”
11AM - 4PM
1731 SE 10th Ave, Portland“Great spot to recycle old electronics safely + efficiently. Not a brick and mortar store anymore, which is disappointing, but glad they are keeping employees away from COVID, which is still rampant. Hope what we donate can be used to help someone in need. Cheers ??PS: a Community Center with Digital Navigators to help people use internet services?? Amazing!!! Ok now I want to volunteer”
“Have been coming here for several years. Just like most other thrift stores sometimes you find some wins and sometimes you find nothing, its all apart of the process. Always friendly staff and clean store. Glad to have something like this in the local area.”
“The public open swim options are NOT open enough at all for our community. But the pool itself is REALLY nice, clean and generally perfect for people who need or want to swim and start out of the sun. Something we all need to think about more and more ad time goes on.My kids love this pool.”
“Really friendly people. Not judgmental. A little tight at dinner time, but they seem to be doing there best with the space available. And the food they serve is good. Thank you guys.”
“Extremely helpful staff so far every agent I have spoken with speaks clearly is attentive and assists in what seems to be anyway possible. I recommend these people if you're looking for support and help.”
“I had a blast on my trip this weekend! Reservations were easy to make, signage was visible for where to meet, and the rental was in great shape. I plan to use this service again.
My only complaint is that I would like to see them at Rood Bridge more often!”
