Great place to really work your short game.First the venue is great, the tee fees are reasonable and quite frankly easy to sign up for online. Easy to get to and there are plenty of places to eat and have a drink within the Edgefield property. child and pet friendly though they do charge a fee for pets on the property. the Property includes a hotel, winery, brewery, distillery, Theater, and music venues as wells the Two par 3 golf courses. Lots of court yards and out of the way spots to sit and enjoy the day.The Two Golf courses are both par 3, one is a nine hole course the other is a 20 hole course. both are very well kept and quite challenging. If you want to improve your short game the is the place in Portland. The greens are also very challenging you really need to pay attention as they tend to be small, and most have varied slopes that will put even seasoned players to the test.Check their web site for events as they fill up fast and tend to be popular with the local players. Both courses are walking only no carts are available, you only need a putter and wedges to play and if you don't have your own there are clubs available at the club house bar. they provide balls also. I believe there is a deposit, but as I have my own I'm not sure what it is. I have started playing there with my brother on the weekends and we both enjoy it very much.

Fun little course on hillside has lots of up and down pitches.

Great, beautifully maintained little course ideal for beginners. Only downside is that often the beginners on the course have no golf etiquette, whether that's not letting a faster group play through or just standing and chatting and drinking because golf was an afterthought to their day.

3 par golf course! Great for more serious golfers or just to have fun. Lovely views of the surrounding area in the gorge. We played 9 holes and had a fun time!Note: Don’t follow google maps to “Edgefield golf course”. It will take you through parking fields and weird locked gates! Just navigate to the hotel and then follow the paved road all the way to the back of the property.

Not a golfer, but this is a really fun course for not a golfer, unless you're behind us and in a hurry. Why would you come to edgefield to hurry through golf, though? Bringing some golf balls will save a bit of money, especially for people like me, who send fly balls and ground balls into the wild blue yonder. Having been of the previous mindset that playing golf was just a waste of a perfectly good walk, this is a good time to hang out and get a little exercise. For anyone who may be offended by having fun playing golf, rather than taking it seriously and playing competitively, we always just give the opportunity to go around us if we are too slow. Recommend.

Great experience. We did some 9 holes and had a great time. They have drink carts driving as well if you want to have a boozey golf time.

I have been here multiple times, and it is a great place! It is known as Hogwarts for alcoholics! I sunk a 25 foot chip in the hole, no roll, all swoosh! Best golf shot I've ever made!

This was a really cool and fun experience. Hit a quick 9 all par 3 Memorial Day weekend and had a blast (first time really "golfing"). I'd go back for sure.
