I had been looking for a local place for alterations. I don't need this service very often but previously I had been driving into downtown Portland and decided that I didn't want to drive that far.I brought a new pair of jeans in for a hem. I asked for original hem and, to my surprise when I picked my jeans up, found that I got a regular hem instead. The jeans have a worn in look so the regular hem looks "off". In addition, both the hem and stitching is uneven and crooked; I didn't notice the uneven hem until I inspected my jeans at home.The gentleman at the counter was very nice and offered to not charge me for the hem. He called to see if he could find the original hem and have them redo the work. The person who hemmed my jeans was not available and wasn't planning to be back until after the new year. They couldn't guarantee that they would be able to obtain the original hem but would try.The person who I interacted with seemed genuinely sorry for the mishap and confirmed that that request was written as original hem.Alterations are about the details. A hem is probably the least complicated and most common type of alteration so having it done incorrectly means I won't be going back. A quick visual check of the work and confirming the request on the tag would've caught the issue right away before the jeans were picked up.I am adding 1 star because they were super nice and empathetic(I included a picture of the back pockets as reference to what the original hem looked like vs. how the regular hem looks)

I'm pretty frustrated with my experience here. I brought in three dresses, a jumpsuit, two shirts, a large winter coat, and a suit jacket to be cleaned and spent around $160. There's no dry cleaner where I live so I drove an hour each way to drop these items off and then that same drive to pick them up. Each round trip costs about $30 in gas so I was pretty disappointed to get home and discover two items were missing.I called and asked if they could be mailed, and she said no I'd have to come in for the items. No discount or reimbursement for the items was offered. So make sure you check that every item is there before you leave.

he said they do not have the tools to do "real dry cleaning m... Took in a tan Tommy hillfiger pea coat- that specifically said dry clean only. Once I stated that this is a dry cleaners so I should be able to take my dry cleaning here he literally said " we don't have the tools to do real dry cleaning you should go to a professional dry cleaner. They're a dry cleaner... but they're nooooot one?

This is a large & very clean & organized Dollar Tree! They have great party supplies right now if you have a Lego lover in your life! They are also starting to restock for after Christmas.
