The produce here is pretty decent and as a Vegetarian of nearly 40 years I do appreciate their good selection of Organics. They need to rotate all of their stock more often because there are really old sprouting sweet potatoes, baking potatoes, and yams in the organic and non-organic bins. The avocados are either Rock Hard or way overripe. I know they're part of a huge chain of stores but I wish they had more local produce. The hot Deli is decent except for their Chinese food, which soaks grease through the containers almost instantly. They have a nice selection of cheeses and their made to order sandwiches are really good, especially their breakfast sandwiches (order before 11 AM) that they will make for you on regular or focaccia bread. The cold Deli has a good selection of products and they don't get upset if you order a small amount such as a few slices of cheese, a quarter pound of potato salad, Etc. What really disappoints me here is the amount of expired products that Linger on the shelves, waiting for a customer to tell somebody that this yogurt expired 2 months ago or whatever. You really have to watch the best by dates especially in the Dairy and canned goods sections. Their prices are a bit high in my opinion, so now I'm only shopping there when there's a good sale on things that I usually buy. Just my opinion, folks!

I had to compose myself before reviewing this location. I've shopped here for YEARS. Grew up nearby. I went in on Sunday, Feb 4th, at about 8pm. I left around 15 minutes later, buying nothing because I was so repulsed by the condition of what used to be a beautiful store. The dairy section shelves are loaded with MOLD. I thought it was mouse droppings, not that either is better. There was so much filth on every shelf in the section. I should have taken more photos. The other sad news is that for the short time I was there, I observed many employees standing around not doing anything but standing. It wasn't a busy time, there were very few customers. The shelves were really empty down the 5/6 aisles I walked. I get that it CAN be busy, that staff doesn't show up, orders don't arrive, etc. But the amount of negligence for cleaning to have it get to this point is inexcusable. I won't be back. I'm sure you'll send comments to your Leadership team, and I've contacted your online comment area as well. Until you make serious changes, though, I don't want to read the generic reply. Actions speak more effectively.

Trying to cash in change. I’m low on funds. Their machine is down. I ask the clerk can she cash them in for me. Completely rude, when asking for help, she replays with an exhausted exhale and says, “I guess”. Repeating this “I guess”, phase at least 4x during the process. I don’t want to make a scene it’s already a bummer I’m dipping into my change to survive. If you don’t want to help someone just say, “sorry I’m busy”. Not make it seem like you’re going out of your way, and look down on a person.

I'm done with their excuses for not having the sale items in stock on Wednesday morning, the first day of the weekly sale. Why is it that I can drive into the Safeway Barrows Road Store or the Murrayhill Store and they ALWAYS have the sale items available and well stocked.Also, Safeway's auto-fill for prescription drugs is NOT dependable. I end up going into the pharmacy every time to see why my drugs have not been filled. It's never a supply issue. They have it on hand. I will say the pharmacists and clerks are very nice in the pharmacy and accomodate the best they can.

Been paying for fresh pass for years...at first I could get 1, 2, and 4 hour delivery times. Now can only get 4 hr time slots. Use to say no tip required and now adds a tip and I do not think it says 100 percent goes to driver? Feels like many fresh/bakery/deli items are always unavailable. Also use to be able to order things like wine and now says unavailable for delivery. Just wonder what is going on? J

Went to this store to pick up a rib roast that they advertised for $4.99 a pound. This was in the morning and they said they were out. I went to customer service to get a rain check and was told I could not get one on any of the advertised meats. Very disappointed since it did not say anything about limited quantities or while supplies last. Pretty much a bait and switch to get you to shop their store.

The Deli is the staple of any good grocery store. Today I went to grab a sandwich from there and was greeted by an older woman who right off the bat was rude and short with me about what bread they had. That was fine and I went but as I continued to ask for topping like bacon and avocado she said she didn't know even tho she didn't even bother looking or asking for more. When asked what they did and didn't have she said idk again!! Maybe that wasn't here section but it still doesn't explain why she had to give us dirty looks the whole time and feel unwelcome.

Produce quality & selection has declined while prices have climbed.They had more checkers this time. So I had a short wait, unlike before.Pharmacy walk-in for vaccines wasn't too bad. About 20 minute wait. Looked like a lot of staff though.Pharmacy staff was great and helpful today. 8-2-23At least Oct 2, pharmacy short staffed. But they were doing a beautiful job considering the circumstances!12/9/23: I had a very nice & caring checker lady. Made shopping easier.

Good store, has most of the things we need but the WiFi is almost non-existent and the building blocks cell signal. Makes it hard to use apps or music streaming while shopping. Always frustrating when I have to use my phone at the store.

Never have my online orders in stockCanceled pickup on Nov 4th order, requested a refund - never got it. Escalated the issue again and now have to wait another 5 days and check my bank account to see if I received my refund.Untrustworthy company, so very dissappointed.Update: Thank you for escalating this issue so quickly! I finally saw my refund on my account this evening! I really do like shopping at safeway. I had better service and interactions with kind staff at a different location, and will continue to shop there. Thanks again for alleviating some of my stress.

This is my favorite place to shop. I also order from their website and always get great service. They bring the groceries right up to your door. My favorite is the truck they keep cold items cold and hot items hot. So I can order frozen and deli and it comes fresh and perfect. I can get rock hard ice cream and a steaming rotisserie chicken in the same order. I LOVE IT! Also love the Starbucks in this location. I go here three times a week atleast.

The deli/hot food is awful quality by afternoon/dinner time. Food will sit in case all day and they'll still serve it to you dried out and stale. Most of the human beings who work in deli/hot food on evenings seem to hate their jobs and generally just don't seem to care about customers or the quality of food they're serving.
