First of all if I can give Nordstrom at Washington Square a 10 I would! Diana in the kids car seat department is an amazing soul! She did not up sale anything to me. I made the choice to switch my Maxi Cosi to a Nuna on my own. She went far and beyond for me and my child. W came from seattle visiting my Inlaws. I was not even looking. I had a few concern coming down here with my current car seat. I am so happy I met her. She is so knowledgeable about all the baby car seat, stroller etc... She doesn't bullshit to make a sale. She really cares about the babies safety. I LOVE that about her!! PLEASE LOOK NO further! Go to Nordstroms for all your baby needs and ask for Diana!! 10 star service!!!

I wanted to get some MAC paint pots so decided to stop by on Sunday 9/24 to check out colors. I waited around, but the employee at the time didn’t even notice me. I waited little longer since it looked like she was ringing up a customer before me, but even when they were done with the payment, she kept on having conversation with that customer!There was one another person waiting beside me too and we were just standing around the display for this employee to finish talking. But she never once turned around to help us out. One of the other employee from different booth came over and told us to wait and thanked for our patience. Sadly, I couldn’t stay any longer because my baby started crying and the employee still didn’t bother to look back. I guess she was having way too much fun talking with that customer. Just disappointed with the whole experience! I know I can order them online, but I really wanted to see the colors that would work with my skin tone. It just felt weird trying to locate the products on their display and trying out colors on my own.***Update:So, I ended up going to the Bridgeport MAC location and they were so much more attentive and helpful! I even got to try some on and they suggested colors that would go well with my skin tone. I got two paint pots from them. It is farther away, but I would recommend Bridgeport location instead of seeking out any help from MAC Nordstrom!

I got the chance to get a mini facial and makeover at Nordstroms at Washington square Saturday and it was awesome. Tiger from the Gucci cosmetic counter and Harmonie from the Clinique cosmetic counter put the event on for me and some friends and they were awesome. They did an awesome job and treated us more like friends. They took the time to get to know us and tell us something about them. I had a lovely time shopping at Nordstrom yesterday. I went in to try on a pair of shoes. The gentleman working in the shoe department was very friendly and helped me find the right size and style. After that, I walked around the beauty aisles and was given a couple of free perfume samples from the ladies working in that department. I loved one of the perfumes so much that I went home and bought it online!

Good day, Yelpies !!!I wanted to elaborate a bit on my experience at this location. My wife and I took a dress back for return that didn't quite fit her expectations when she ordered it from Nordstrom's online store. The return process went flawlessly and the customer service rep handled everything professionally. We decided to go upstairs to the women's department and find something else that might fit my wife's expectations, but unfortunately decided to go to a different store due to the very odd and disturbing way we were treated by the staff in the women's department as my wife was looking around for a dress for a family event coming up in September the person covering that department seemed to look past my wife as if she was invisible so my wife found somebody else to help her. I had no idea that this had happened and was also in the same department looking around for other dress's my wife. I was immediately approached by the same person covering that department, but she walked past me, and started fidgeting with all the clothes on the rack that I was looking through. I found this odd, but assumed that maybe she was helping somebody else.I went over to another rack of clothes located closer to the register when another person from a different department came over towards me and did the same thing. Please note neither person asked if I needed help looking for anything.... then it dawned on me that maybe these people assumed that I might be some type of a shoplifter.... I remember back when I was in retail that this was a way to get peoples attention and let them know that there's somebody watching the Department.But I also remember something that was really important and that was to gain eye contact with your potential customer and ask if they need help???? that's it just ask if they need help. You would be surprised they might even walk out of the store with a ton of merchandise, keeping you employedNever again Nordstrom's... no disrespect you did create an amazing marketing plan and that has lead you to amazing heights but your employees are knocking you down a bit day by day with that type of behavior.

It breaks my heart to give Nordstrom a 1 star rating but several interactions with employees and policy changes has really tainted my view of this once powerful and amazing store brand. Nordstrom no longer offers curbside returns, only pick up. I found out when I was already running late and was hoping Nordstrom curbside service would save the day. They didn't and if anything made me even more late because once inside the store, their system wasn't working.Now the employee review, there's a younger lady (late 20s - early 30s) that works in the children shoe and apparel department is awful to deal with. I purchased clothes for my daughter, only 3 days later the clothing went on sale. I asked for a price adjustment and of course she gave me HELL for it!! I mean, what's the point of having a policy on price adjustment if Nordstrom employees won't honor it? She told me that "prices will always drop" so I can't adjust the price. That made me really angry and question why Nordstrom would hire such employees. But I get a sense that Nordstrom is training their employees to be difficult now because too many people have taken advantage of their once easy return policy. Bottom line, this employee basically made me feel awful for even requesting a price adjustment, scolded me for it, belittled me because I'm not the typical race for their customer.

Nordstrom is a brand with an exceptional reputation for quality and service and this store lives up to the brand expectations. We have predominately shopped in the men's shirt and suit section or woman's clothing section of this store. The associates here are friendly and have been helpful in making recommendations on styles. The store is always clean and welcoming. I enjoy visiting during the holiday season when they have the decorations and holiday music throughout the store. We've never had a problem with an exchange or return; again aligning to the service brand of this higher end retail chain. Additionally, during the holiday season they also provide complimentary boxes you can pick up for your wrapping needs. For an additional fee, you can also select to leave your items and have them gift wrapped while you shop or wait. I absolutely will continue to shop at this Nordstrom store location!

I drive past the downtown location to this one specifically because the service and selection, I feel, are the best. Plus, free parking! Last year I needed to get a suit jacket tailored and didn't have time to look around, so I ordered several online for store pickup, returned the ones I didn't like and dropped the one I kept with the tailor. The jacket was even ready earlier than they estimated! Last summer I'd gone in to find a gift for my mom's birthday. Walked up to the jewelry counter, told the salesperson my budget, and we found something that she ended up loving, then had it gift wrapped before I left.

Brie helped me so much yesterday! I needed to switch up my makeup routine and explained to her what I was looking for and her reccomendedations were fantastic. She didn't try and upsell me on anything and made me feel like we've been friends for years. She is so warm and welcoming. I'll definitely be returning because of her. Thank you Brie I am so happy with my new makeup!

Came in for one item. Le Labo - Santal 33 cologne. Left with what I needed plus samples of so many amazing colognes. White glove customer service in the men's cologne department by Mario. Hope to run into him again, he was fantastic!

I used to go here for shoes and always thought they were the gold standard for service. No longer. Last couple of trips -- not at particularly rushed hours -- took me forever and multiple asks to find someone to help on the floor. (And you can't just select sizes to try on yourself.) Final straw was when a sales rep explained there weren't a lot of options in my size (8 wide) because "we can't stock every weird size." !!! What an odd thing to say. Online or self-service shoe stores it is.

First I would like to give kudos to Kirk who works in women's shoes for his gentlemanly, helpful and kind demeanor. We then went upstairs to have lunch and were helped by a young woman named Ronnie who was extremely friendly and embodied all of the best service qualities of Nordstrom

I'm really surprised by the negative reviews. I've been shopping at this location since moving here about 10 years ago and have never once had a bad experience. I was there a few weekends ago and was more than pleased with the selection, cleanliness, and especially the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. I had to do an exchange, I tried on a few things, and I asked for different sizes from the back and never once felt like I was putting anyone out. I've used the curbside pickup as well, for a purchase and even did a return curbside, and it's always been quick and easy. The reason I'm knocking off a star is my experience at the Bobbi Brown counter. I was looking for a product which they didn't have when she rolled her eyes, says she gets asked that a dozen times a day, and told me to go online. I also mentioned I was having trouble getting color-matched online and her only response was an insincere "well... sorry...". So I said "Okay, I guess I'll go buy something from somewhere else..." and she turned around and continued putting product on the shelf. She didn't even try to help me get color matched or offer any products that she had there in her section. She didn't seem interested in making a sale or really even being there.

Nordstrom Cafe 10/10 Chicken panini with side salad was spectacular + lots of chicken need that extra salad dressing for take home, would buy the dressing if they sold it service was great

Every time there has been an issue, the manager has resolved it relatively fast. They do not let a couple dollars drive away a customer. I am very satisfied with the attention and service here. A typical year I spend over $10k on clothes at Nordstrom. There's great clothes everywhere, but very few places have long sleeve dresses that look classy.
