I had a warranty on a controller that stopped charging. I brought it in and exchanged it. When I got home I noticed that the controller sounded like it had a broken piece inside that would rattle around. I brought it in the next day thinking it would be a easy exchange. Megan told me I should just take it apart and take it out. She would not exchange it without using my 1 time use warranty. I didn't feel like paying another 10 dollars for a new warranty. Seems scammy and every experience I've had here with her has been negative. If I was the owner I'd find someone more people friendly with better customer service.

Chris, our cashier, was really great & informative. If we only dealt with him, I would've left 4 or 5 stars. Megan, however, is probably the least pleasant retail employee I've come across in a very long time. She's awful. We were trading in my husband's old Xbox & some games to put towards a new console. Chris was examining the Xbox & Megan came over, grabbed it for maybe 2-3 seconds, yelled "DEFECTIVE" & walked away. With our multiple trade-ins, it was a long transaction. Megan stood at the front, complaining to herself loudly about how the employees last night "didn't do anything" & ignored the line of other people needing to be rung up. She helped one group the entire time we were there, about a half hour. She also stepped in again & interrupted Chris, telling him what to do, to which he said what she told him to do is what he was already doing. Leave him alone, let the man do his job & go back to whatever it was you were doing, Megan. Jeez. Poor Chris. Checking out one group on a busy Saturday, standing around, yelling, & complaining... sounds like a really easy job to me. Anyway. The other comments on Megan's customer service speak loudly. I laughed when I saw them all. Glad I'm not the only one who saw this. Side note: we got pennies for the games we traded in, which was expected. But all good, thanks again to Chris for his excellent service.

It's a 0 for me but you know how Yelp works. MEGHAN is the Manager of this GameStop and she is RUDE as a MF. I am NOT one for conflict, but me and my bf had already read the reviews BEFORE coming in about the crappy customer service they have. We came in (weren't being ugly, didn't disrespect anyone including her) to get an Xbox for ME because I badly needed an upgrade. My bf who is knowledgeable about Xbox's etc knew what he was looking for but was told different pricing the day before when he called ahead of time. She stood there continuously having an attitude when she had to explain the different pricing etc. Proceeded to have that tone (you know what tone I mean ) acting as if my bf wasn't comprehending anything she was saying. We both were, we just had questions about pricing since we were told one thing on the phone, but yet are being told something completely different when we came in. I just wanted to leave this since she had extra sh't to say about us as we were walking out of the door instead of SAYING IT TO OUR FACE while we were standing literally RIGHT in front of her. Now where I'm from baby, if I got a problem with you ima ADDRESS it ! You had one CLEARLY, but decided to wait AFTER we left to say something. I don't like that sh't and I don't do that sh't so when I came back to get the rest of what I needed (because your attitude side tracked me from the rest of my purchase) you decided to run in the back when I was just about to ask what your problem was. Luckily for you I asked for your info and company's info and he was new to the job, but also said you (Meghan) are CRAPPY people. So if your own employee is saying that, then I know FASHO it ain't me. Alright, I'm done ranting. Meghan baby, you need to fix it before somebody with NO type of patience comes in and fixes it for you lol. That is all

I was called and told my pre-order was ready. I drove an hour out of my way to pickup my pre-order only to find that they didn't have it in yet and "no one would have called me". Then the store manager gave me attitude when I calmly stated that this was an inconvenience for me. Avoid gamestop, just buy games on Amazon.

Four employees, all but one “too busy” with their interior decorations to help any customers. Waited ten minutes before even being acknowledged. If the blonde lady is the new SL2 then Godspeed to the employees there. She had the attitude of a real piece of work.

Few companies hate their customers as much as corporate gamestop. $11 shipping on $70 games, covertly reducing membership benefits after purchase, 2 week waits for help via their outsourced email customer service, etc. I'll never shop this company again.

Out of all of my retail shopping experiences, this one has to be the worst shopping experience I have ever had. Let me explain what happened. My husband, who lives long distances away, decided to surprise me with my Christmas gift by ordering an in-store pickup. He saw that the online website offered a great deal on the Meta Quest 3 for an in-store pickup, and he even got to use his $15 in Gamestop rewards. After placing the order, he realized that he forgot to add me as the person who is picking up the order. No problem, he thought. He'll just call the store location and ask them to add my name as an authorized user for pickup. Well, unfortunately, the manager who was working at this store location didn't allow it. My husbands argument to her was that he had done an in-store pickup before with the PS5 without any issues, and someone else had picked it up for him. This led to a full-on argument on the phone between him and the manager, and my husband ended up calling corporate. My husband told me that corporate assured him that there should be no issue adding me as an authorized recipient for pickup on the Meta Quest 3, and the store should have the capability to do so. Meanwhile, I was at work, and my husband was texting me all of these issues when this was supposed to be a present for me.I asked him to forward me the confirmation email, and I went on my way to Gamestop to pick up my Meta Quest 3. The salespeople were very respectful when I explained the situation to them. However, the Gamestop Manager at the counter told me that unfortunately, she could not give me the order without my husband being present and having his physical ID with him.I explained to her that our situation is unique and that we are living long distance, and this gift was meant for me for Christmas. She insisted that it was company policy and that it was to protect the customer and the company. I told her that my husband had already called corporate, and they had assured him that I could be added as an authorized pickup, but it didn't happen. At this time I decided to put him on Video chat to explain everything.Feeling frustrated, I decided to cancel the order and pay with my credit card. However, the manaher put up a fight and refused to match the price with the discount using my Gamestop points. They also informed me that if my husband canceled the order, he wouldn't get those points back. This escalated into a heated argument and the manager got overheated and had to go back to the stockroom with her employee to discuss. After a 15-minute wait, she came back and told me that she was willing to match the price with me. However, she had an issue with my husband being on the phone and asked me to hang up the call. I told her that I was recording the conversation for my safety, which only escalated the situation further. She even threatened to call mall security on me.At this point, I was fed up and yelled at her, expressing my frustration and how all I wanted was my Christmas present. She went back to the stockroom, and a more seasoned employee stepped in and matched the price for me without any issue. Finally, I was able to show the camera to my husband, who had been anxiously waiting on the other end of the call.To add to the stress, my husband has accrued $100 on his phone bill for these international phone calls. This entire experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing.

One word Game Stop is A DEAL STOP RIP OFF !!! A crocked evil manager works here! I paid for and ordered for a ps5 remote for black friday deal and it was sent to this store for me to pick up and they called me and said I couldn't pick it up because their mailing it back and I pleaded if I could pick it up but the manager was rude and said nope , I never was told that I had a time frame or date to pick it up beforehand so obviously they didn't want to honor the sale and ripped me off of getting a deal so Game Stop Is A DEAL STOP RIP OFF !I will never shop here ever again 0 stars !

Would have given a zero if I could've Dear GameStop Corporation, . I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with an unpleasant experience I had at your Washington square store today, December 2nd. I visited your store to make a return or exchange , and during the transaction, I encountered a manager named Megan. Unfortunately, her behavior was far from professional or courteous. She was extremely rude, raised her voice unnecessarily, and spoke to me and other customers in a manner that I found unacceptable. As a loyal customer of GameStop, I have always appreciated the high standards of customer service that your company upholds. However, today's experience was a stark contrast to the usual pleasant interactions I have come to expect from your staff. Megan's behavior not only made me uncomfortable but also created a hostile environment for other customers present at the time. This is not the kind of experience I expect when visiting any of your stores, and I believe it is not in line with the values and standards that GameStop represents. I kindly request that you look into this matter and take appropriate action to ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future. I believe that every customer deserves to be treated with respect and dignity, and I hope that you share this belief. Thank you for taking the time to read my complaint. I look forward to hearing from you soon and hope that this issue will be resolved promptly and satisfactorily. DONT SHOP HERE

Funny how there's one person helping a long line of people and like 3 managers arguing about how one of the game walls "looks like garbage". The female manager was cursing a lot too. We walked out. Not where I want to take my kid for new systems or pokemon cards any. Totally understand why they're going under now. Lol

Due to some issue with Pro membership I was missing a $10 off coupon and the manager made it right and honored the coupon as he could see it was supposed to be there and just wasn't. This is great customer service. The employees are also very personal and amicable which creates a very positive and friendly atmosphere. More GameStops should be like this.

Do not buy refurbished consoles from this company... less then 20 hours of gaming and it crashed again.. never spending a penny is game stop again.
