My little sister got double charged for a controller she bought today. I called to help her fix the issue and was yelled at and called a scammer. Unfortunately I think this location has dealt with alot of previous problems for that response to be the managers first thought. It was really aggressive the way she was yelling at me and I won't forget it, I haven't been treated like that in years. They didn't give us a receipt and the line was busy during the purchase so I don't think they will be able to help us. The 2nd lady I spoke to was very kind but they said there was no way they could help us. My sister has disputed the charge with her bank so we will see what happens but I've lived long enough to know this is a loss for her. Not cool

It's been a few weeks since I went in and I'm not sure I remember the employee's name correctly: Cudder? Codder? I know it was a name I don't recall hearing before. It was a Saturday afternoon and he was alone because his co-worker called in sick.
I thought he was staffed by himself and the store was busy, so I didn't understand that staffing choice at first - there was a decent line forming. Despite that, his interaction with a young kid was really enjoyable to watch; the kid was buying something big on his own for the first time. Cudder never seemed flustered and didn't skip any steps, including with the next person, and that's pretty rare I think, including in my own experiences working in retail. I didn't know his co-worker called out until I got to check out and it really made me appreciate how well he rolled with the busy store. Sorry if I'm totally screwing up your name and I hope y'all know who I'm talking about!

i purchased a ps5 controller and headset in November 2023 with a warranty. after a while, the devices gathered general wear and tear. I go to turn them in and get brand new ones to find out that they changed the policy. if you turn in used devices, you get used devices. previously if you turn in used devices, you get brand new ones. that’s what you’re paying for when you buy the warranty. canceling my subscription. do not shop with GameStop. if i could give them a negative star i would.

Just bought a couple games and tried to buy a couple hats since they are buy one get one 50% off. The employee added the warranty for the games without asking and insisted I needed it when I asked to remove it. She ended up removing it but when I noticed the sale for the hats wasn’t taken off she lied and said it didn’t apply to licensed hats. Every single hat, shirt or otherwise that they sell is licensed so I’m not sure what would be on sale then. Didn’t buy the hats but when I add them to the cart in the app, what do you know, they are on sale… My last few GameStop stops have been similar and I’m over it at this point, other stores have the same stuff and are less scummy.

I am not gonna fault the store for this but I have never been in a store with an employee who literally smells the entire store up with body odor! The employee's name tag said CJ! I felt so badly for the girl working with him as we silently looked at each other and she apologized under her breath. It was absolutely horrible! I didnt really know how to rate this review cause she was wonderful, but I had to rush to get out of the store because of the smell!

So this place totally gets a one-star for the abuse claiming victim stance manager who wants to drop my controller refuse to apologize and then tell me that my Xbox smells horrific of cigarette smoke when I don't smoke cigarettes. She refuses to take my Xbox because when you plug an Xbox into a TV with a different resolution it might take a few minutes to adjust. Happens every time you take an Xbox and you move TVs it takes a minute for it to adjust to the TV and adjusted settings to the proper settings for optimal use. You think someone works at GameStop would be aware of this but instead she just wanted to deny deny deny and tell me I'm being abusive when I asked her to plug my controller in to see if all the button still work because she dropped it on the ground from a good distance and then told me that I'm in the wrong. This lady needs an update on customer service

Short story: Avoid this Gamestop and their theiving scumbag of a manager. She's using pathetic and disgusting tactics to try to steal your money by adding "protection plans" without consent to your purchase, and will disrespect you for stopping her.
Long story: I went into gamestop excited to pick up some games. Im a regular to Gamestop as a whole but don't usually go to the mall.
As I'm browsing, I notice and am immediately concerned with how the manager is treating a customer who obviously has special needs. He was particular, but the whole time respectful to her. On the other hand she was rude, short. And unprofessional as a whole when interacting with the guy. And then complains about him to the next customer.
As soon as I get to the register I tell the manager the game that I want and that I also have some trades. She scans my stuff and tell me my total. I then show her my trades and she gets all angry and yells at me and says "you should have told me that you had a trade earlier!". I point out that I did and she says that I didn't. She does my trade and tells me my new total.
When I review my total I notice that she added their protection plan without asking me or letting me know. Pretty much hoping that she could steal some of my money to pad her numbers. These tactics are pathetic and wrong on so many levels. There's a reason why a couple of years ago Gamestop investigated and fired a lot of people for exactly this. Fraud, theft, scum tactics. It's all the same as it was years ago.
When I said I didn't want the protection plan she got even more upset when she removed it. After I paid she didnt even wait for me to take a few steps before she badmouthed me to the next customer.
Also, she traded my game in wrong so I came back to fix it and again she tried to blame me because of my "last second" trade and how I created more work for her.
YOU are the manager, be more professional and own up to your mistakes. It's not my fault you couldn't listen and messed up.
I don't know how this person became a manager but they are not the type of person that Gamestop should want leading a store. I understand trying to meet certain metrics. But meeting those metrics are a lot harder when burning bridges with your customers. Having a scumbag of a Manager such as the one here burns those bridges. She pretty much showed that as a person she is narcissistic, morally objectionable, and just a terrible pathetic person. As an employee, she is all that and a theif to the customer. She will only bring complaints and a bad look for Gamestop during a time that they really need to appeal more if they want to survive.

Went in to buy a Black Series Helmet, that was both marked in stock online, as well as on display in the window. I asked one of the employees to grab it for me, which he did right away, and as he was getting it, the other employee told him that she can not sell it to me, because it was already sold 7 hours ago. Maybe if a product isn’t available, take it out of the window? Props to the first guy actually willing to help me, not so much to the lady who refused me service without even saying a word to me.

I had a warranty on a controller that stopped charging. I brought it in and exchanged it. When I got home I noticed that the controller sounded like it had a broken piece inside that would rattle around. I brought it in the next day thinking it would be a easy exchange. Megan told me I should just take it apart and take it out. She would not exchange it without using my 1 time use warranty. I didn't feel like paying another 10 dollars for a new warranty. Seems scammy and every experience I've had here with her has been negative. If I was the owner I'd find someone more people friendly with better customer service.
