“My husband and I got all the help we needed and then some with our mattress buying experience. I don't look it on the surface, but I have severe spinal degeneration and a litany of other problems that make mattress buying a nightmare. I was so stressed out and overwhelmed with options-- I honestly don't even remember how I found myself at a mattress firm, but thank goodness I did.Nate was so understanding of my injuries and patient with my endless anxious questions for literal hours while we bellyached over which bed to buy. The one we ended up buying (back in July) didn't work out. I had slept on it for 90 days to give it a really fair shake, but I was having trouble staying asleep and getting the support I needed. It was a really great quality mattress and there were things I really liked about it, but it just wasn't working. I was back to being stressed out over my uncooperative body, but Nate was there again to say "I gotchu."We went back to the drawing board and found another mattress that I had never even heard of, but it came with Nate's personal recommendation and I knew I could trust it. We've only had it for 4 days at this point, but for the first time in months, I'm sleeping through the night and don't feel like I'm going to fall asleep at work. Worth its weight in gold! And for someone like me who can't just go pick out the most comfortable mattress in the store because of my medical needs, and who is working class and doesn't have money to burn on the wrong mattress, it made all the difference in the world to have someone who understood and took seriously all of my needs. (I'm so envious of the people who can say "whatever, just throw it in the guest room," or "I didn't like this mattress, give it to cousin Jimmy.")Nate is honest to a fault, an unfortunate rarity in this world that needs to be acknowledged and celebrated. I would say we'll definitely be back, but I know we're not going to need a new bed for a long time. Maybe if I ever need a new pillow or some nice sheets, I know where I'll be going.”

“My husband and I wanted to turn a spare bedroom into a shared office/library space. After checking Yelp, we contacted Harris WorkSystems, a woman-owned and operated business located right here in Tigard. The website is easy to navigate and the actual showroom is very impressive. We made an appointment with Space Planner, Nate and he came out to our home to take measurements of our actual space and to give us some ideas on how to configure the space we could comfortably share. He drew up a schematic with suggestions for length of counters, the height, where to place file drawers, and a storage tower we had our eye on. We chose a light colored laminate with black accents and drawer pulls. We also added an extra rolling file cabinet for my husband's side. There was a bit of a glitch when the installers came out the first time as a counter was too long on one side of the room and had to be cut down, adding about 3 weeks to the completion time. It was a bit frustrating to wait so long but we understood. After the initial installation, we decided to add extra shelves in the storage tower and add another locking 3-file drawer unit to my side. Since all of the furniture is custom made, it was another few weeks of waiting. Add to that Harris WorkSystems being short-staffed and issues with the supply chain, we remained patient and knew it would all work out. Communication and updates from Nate during this time was a tad unsatisfactory but we are very happy with the end result. Exceptional quality and within budget.We highly recommend Harris Worksystems and are considering having them design a workspace for my home art studio next.”

“I used to live in Tigard for years and drove past Broadway Furniture all the time. I recently moved to downtown Portland. Recently my bed has become very uncomfortable. I bought an expensive mattress somewhere else and got home to only realize it wasn’t the mattress. I have old injuries and my body needs a comfortable, to me, sleep setup. I tried researching my options and finally decided to shop options for a new bedroom set today. Ken happened to be walking out as I got out of my car and immediately was there to help. I explained my situation and showed him photos. He had me come inside and shared some general education about bed setups and mattresses. He gave me a plan to fix my current bed and never tried to sell me anything. I’m also a small business owner and exhausted with not sleeping well. I am so incredibly grateful for his kindness! I’m crossing my fingers his solutions work and if not I’ll happily be back in! There was a reason I chose to drive from downtown Portland to Tigard, it’s for genuine kindness, compassion and integrity in small businesses. Thank you Ken, you are such a kind soul!”

“Several years after purchase & their sofas are holding up extremely well. Madison makes furniture for the hospitality industry (but they'll do custom residential) which may account for the durability of the frames, cushions, and fabrics. You can find a few MCM and contemporary styles here, along with many options for more traditional tastes. Select a style, fabric, and feet to customize your piece. They have some cute button back styles similar to something you might see at Joybird. When we ordered prices were very reasonable. Don't be surprised when you find yourself pulling into an industrial park out in Tigard and be prepared to debate over the many fabric options. You might also see someone building a sofa frame inside the building--these are locally made goods.”

“We were concerned that a furniture shipment that had been delayed by the atrocious road conditions promulgated by the winter snow/ice storms. As a backup, we needed to find an alternative "just in case" the shipment was lost in transit. We were very capably assisted by Azi, who presented some very affordable items that - quite honestly - would have been our first choice had we not been homebound by the weather and road conditions. This will definitely be the first stop on future home furnishing shopping expeditions. It is a hidden gem in the metro area, worthy of your attention and consideration. The pricing was very competitive compared to the online alternatives, and the bonus is local delivery with no assembly required.”

“Absolutely above and beyond customer service from the team today.We bought a sectional but they only had half the pieces we needed in store. We ran into technical difficulties with checking out due to that, but the team was so committed to getting us the couch and every discount possible. And then we ran into space issues since our car wasn’t big enough and they did not give up, eventually squeezing it in without any damage. Appreciate all the help!”

“Roxana assisted us with product selection and purchase details very ably. We did have a few issues with the iPhone application and existing online account. In particular, it referenced an old Sleep Number bed (which I no longer have) and was shared with my ex-wife, who now presumably has access to the new bed to be delivered shortly. There doesn't appear to be any mechanisms to remove these old bits from the account either in the app or online. It's hardly Roxana's fault, but rather an issue of poor software design.”

“I give Crate and Barrel the award for most greetings I've ever had in my entire life in a single visit. I was greeted by 23 different employees (sometimes more than once) in the span of about 12 minutes. That's on average of about once every 30 seconds. And during that time in the span of about 1 minute I was greeted 5 times which is about once every 12 seconds. It was like an eerie dystopian future where around every corner is someone saying hello and asking if they can help you, but all you really want to do is get in and get out as fast as you can. I did the math and I think without the greetings I would've only been in the store about 6 minutes instead of 12. If their job is to greet customers and double the amount of time they are in the store well then they all deserve a raise...”

“Esai was wonderful. We told him what we were looking for, and he let us roam. He quickly provided us with a measuring tape when we asked and was knowledgeable when we had questions.We got the dresser we came for with a delivery just days away, and I found the table I've been hunting for, and he ordered that for us as well. All in all, it was a very pleasant time.”

“They recently renovated this store to add an Ulta section and a larger Starbucks. They both look very nice and shiny but the Ulta is usually very sparse with products. I'm going to attribute that to the backlog of COVID supply chain issues.”
