Barbara is a highly skilled jeweler and most of all a skilled teacher. I have been taking classes the past year and have greatly improved my skills from art classes taken years back. I am able to learn new techniques and love how she can show me how to correct mistakes. I look forward to continuing to make my contemporary designs come to life.

Barbara is absolutely amazing! Her work is beautiful and she is very skilled. She has a wonderful jewelry background and is a long-standing member of the metal Smith community. Her classes are top-notch, and the skills you gain from them set you up for success! She has a wealth of knowledge and is warm and friendly. Very easy to talk to. Her shop is full of beautiful and unique pieces all from her own design. She uses sterling and gold to make her creations and seeks out only the most beautiful stones.Barbara also does custom work. Her wedding rings are stunning!I highly recommend Artisans of Metal and Thread.

Barbara recently made repairs to my engagement/wedding ring combo. Very high quality of workmanship and attention to detail. I am very pleased with her work and very happy with my ring now looking good as new. Would definitely recommend her for servicing your jewelry, repairs. Barbara is a wonderful teacher. I have worked with her for years. I came to her knowing nothing about metal working, and she methodically and patiently taught me how to bring my vision to life. Barbara Kennedy is truly amazing! I have been taking private lessons with her and am so thankful that I found her. With over 40 years of experience, she has all of the talent, knowledge and tools to tackle any challenge. She is so patient and encouraging, much appreciated while learning a new and challenging trade. She goes at your pace and allows you to choose the specific projects that you want to learn which is amazing, so you don’t waste time and money on things that you won’t use. Whether you are interested in a day class or long term, you can count on it being a wonderful experience. I have my first grand opening this weekend with all of the beautiful pieces that I created under Barbara’s tutelage. Cannot thank her enough - very highly recommended!

We did a sisters trip to Portland, and Barbara made our trip extra special with her fabulous ring making class! She was patient, creative and a wonderful teacher. We walked away with beautiful rings!!! Highly recommended!!!!

My wife had been given a ring from her mother that had been in their family for some time. As you can imagine it was missing some stones and needed sizing. Barbara knew exactly how to do the repairs and source the diamonds at a reasonable price. We were both amazed at how beautiful the ring is! It was done within the time frame Barbara quoted and the price was more than fair. I recommend Barbara happily to everyone I know looking for new jewelry and repairing old. She is a fountain of knowledge and skill!

WOW! What a wide range of talent Barbara Kennedy has in the jewelry world. She can repair old jewelry or make you a brand new piece even out of old stones or gold you might have. I've purchase many pieces from her and she has no competitors because she is so well trained in her field.
