“This is my go-to home improvement store in the Portland area. Over the last 5-6 years, some of their staff have been most helpful to me. I usually find the prices, variety of products, and product availability to be right for my needs. The location of this store could hardly be better, near 2 freeways, and NOT on a busy street. More than adequate parking, and with a super convenient entrance for loading up large items such as lumber. I have started to beef up my tool box with some better quality tools, and I'm quite happy with recent purchases, especially non-powered tools, for example, combining Craftsman and Kobalt to come up with a robust but compact deep socket ratchet solution. I am glad now that they have brought back cleaning vinegar after a nearly 2 year spell of not carrying it in stores, but... it's not always in stock![Update 9/1/2022] It's still hard to come by the cleaning vinegar, but other than that, I generally find what I need here in order to maintain a fair number of properties.[Update 6/28/2023] Great staff... friendly, welcoming, helpful, generally very available. During the day time hours, they have the most staff on hand, and that is when it is the easiest to get help.[Update 11/27/2023] Even with Christmas goods filling the aisles, I'm still finding everything I need for daily work.[Update 2/14/2023] It's handy to have a store like this one where I know the departmental layout fairly well. I came in last night with only 5 minutes before closing, found the dimmer switch I needed, and paid for it in time. On top of that, the checkout clerk handed me my glove that I had dropped back in the lighting aisle. Crisis averted. Kudos!!”

“I got great assistance from the employee.But we're very unhappy that the establishment has changed to Entirely All self checkout. Ridiculous!! Now we have to work for Home Depot!!”

“Google saves the day! Typically the employee responsible of that specific aisle, does not know the answer or have a clue of what I am looking for or trying to find. Google and YouTube works great for figuring out how to install or what part I need. The best thing Home Depot has done in the last year is update their app. Now when the app opens it locates what store you're in and tells you what aisle the product is located. GREAT! I guess this is because the associates do not know where things are? The bad part of this store is the over tilt to self check out. The Military discount codle is not on the app so you do not need to verify with an employee. Pretty soon, we will only have two workers in the store...LMAO”

“This review is for the employee, John in appliance more than the store. Rarely do I find someone who has genuine expertise, or one who has time to really help. John in appliances was the exception, the rate exception! He took a disposal question and ac3d it out, taking time to explore all avenues and delivering EXPERT analysis on the issue. It was extraordinary he stuck with it and demonstrated such genuine concern and really knew his stuff! I find this very rare with the employees there. His efforts did more than resolve the issue.
