These days, it is so hectic in Central Oregon. Tourism has hiked up lodging prices and greatly diminished the charm that once was there. Smith Rock resort is one of the last great places in the area!! My family of four had fun swimming in the nice pool, riding bikes, and my wife and I sat out on our private deck to look at the stars. We will return every year to this amazing place!

What a fun place to stay!!!The rooms were SO CLEAN and home like, the location was absolutely gorgeous and you were only 15-20 minutes away from Redmond or terrebone. The customer service was also top notch, if you ever stay here call and book directly through them instead of a third party. The front desk lady was amazing! They also have a propane grill at their main office you can use to cook dinner with some amazing scenery!Nearby activities: A pool and a golf course!Food & drinks: There is a golf course, pool, and some food options all at this same resort area

Very nice clean Yurts that are really just nice cabins. Excellent hike down to the river. Biggest complaint would be that you can hear the golf course calling out start times to golfers pretty early in the AM. It would also be nice to have screens on the sliding doors so as to keep windows open at night. Very comfortable room. Unfortunately did not get a chance to use the pool but it looked lovely.Rooms: King bed, coffee maker, very clean and comfortable.

A nice place to spend the night! Each room is nice and spacious, though the bed was a bit hard for my taste. The resort itself is nicely laid out and

I am not sure what everyone’s expectations are, but I am not a hotel/motel/holiday inn type of gal. I would much rather sleep in a tent so my expectations are pretty low. Smith Rock Resort itself is so stinking cute. On top of the easily accessible hiking access and view points, the town offers so many amenities. The pool was super nice to come back to after a long, hot day exploring. The service we received was stellar! The two women we dealt with at the front desk were extremely helpful and pleasant, going out of their way to accommodate. The room was CLEAN! The beds were not rock solid. The blankets and towels you could tell were new and super cozy. (Usually I do not even use hotel provided laundry so to know they keep up with their linens made me much more comfortable.)If you are looking for a cozy place to stay in a great location during your time in Oregon, I could not say enough good things about this place and would definitely recommend making the stop in!

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a night and had the pleasure of meeting Samantha she was great and the yurts were really nice. This is in a great spot with amazing views.Nearby activities: Unfortunately our experiences with the nearby activities at the golf course were very poor. It’s a bummer this place gets associated with the golf club. Still giving 5 stars because food and activities can be driven to in the area.

My family and I have stayed at this unique location 3 times for multiple days. The prices fluctuate from winter rates to spring/ summer (peak) rates, which are normal.Generally regular discounts are accepted and I have negotiated for better rates if it was multiple days and not at summer peak. I have felt a sense of worth for the money spent each time. As far as the rooms go if you want to be spread out a little & spending a little more is in the budget, I recommend the full suite which is very accommodating with more amenities & the ones facing the fairway and driving Range were cool.. The rooms have been clean, well kept & and are on par with industry standards along with friendly staff, it has always been a pleasant experience. Of course, the star of the show, unless you're a golfer ,?️♀️ ?️♂️ is the hiking trails & views. This part of Central Oregon, especially, of course, Crooked River Ranch has so much to offer, it is a must see area if you are traveling or visiting Oregon.*If you read this review, I encourage you and yours to come visit the area & experience the natural Splendor & Wonderment this photogenic area offers.Awe is what I feel every time I go about the area & it seems I always find something new to check out.Nearby activities: There are areas within just a few miles such as Steelhead Falls, & Of Course Smith Rock State Park & I would be remiss if I didn't mention Peter Ogden State Park & viewing area, conveniently located at the Rest Area just a couple miles East of Terrebonne. *extra care should be takenRegarding the safety & security of young children along with dogs & other pets.Walkability: Great hiking trails with spectacular views up and down the Crooked River & and Canyon. some literally connected to the resort & others within just a couple miles. * See Google Maps for precise details

Kinda of a cool place. Beds suck though. Rather stay on floor. I mean like worst bed ever. Like have you slept in your beds. Cause they are really really really bad. Did I mention the beds ruined the whole experience!

Beautiful resort near the canyon. There's also a little golf course nearby. It was wonderful to watch the stars and the sunrise. Yurt was very comfortable and clean.

To start a little expensive for 1/2 of a Yurt. Yes great location yes great hiking but, advertised a pool & hot tube; nope. I did not see any building that was able to occupy 2 beds or have the nice kitchenette they have showen. I paid almost o$500 for 3 nights & over half of what was advertised/shown in pitcures was no longer available other then that it was quite and relaxing

Low key, cozy, and reasonably priced. We showed up after hours. Our key was ready on the office door. Rooms are cool hexagon shape. Dated or retro...depending on your perspective, but super clean ? Would not hesitate to stay again.

We stayed a few weeks ago and it was spectacular! The ONLY issue I had was the beds, and that's ONLY because I love my own! Bringing a friend back here in a few weeks! Thank you for having a great place!

I wanted to stay close to Smith Rock and this resort was about twenty minutes away. The room is one half of a Yurt and has two large glass sliding windows that open to deck. You will find a king bed with a dresser on each side with three drawers and three lamps above the bed on the wall.A clock radio was on one dresser, but there were no USB Ports or a place to plug in your electronic devices.A microwave oven, a small refrigerator, a coffee makerand another dresser with two drawers were by the front door.A TV with cable was above a table with two chairs and free Wi-Fi.The room had a strong industrial smell to it. (Like new carpet smell)The deck outside needs to be repainted and the handle on shower was worn and needs to be replaced. You can hear the guests of the other side of the Yurt and can be noisy if they have kids. The resort is located on the Crooked River Ranch and pool passes are available to guests.A resort with a good location to Smith Rock, but in need of some renovations.

What an awesome location for a full recharge. The host went above an beyond to make the stay memorable. The location so peaceful and facilities are well maintained. Would definitely visit again.
