If you enjoy slavery, work here. You are a piece of property for 16 hours a day. Your family, medical health, and everything outside of work is an inconvenience to the company. Time off comes at a price, day/week. For every day off, you will be punished a week. You will never be more than a number on a spread sheet. If you are NOT Mennonite, you most certainly will be treated as less than human.

Great place to load quick

Checking in and getting loaded is extremely easy and I'd say you'll be in and out in less than an hour, even during busy times of the day. The longest I could see anyone here to get loaded would be 2 hours max. Here's the issue... Expect to be loaded very heavy and several trucks have to come back to get some product taken off. For me, it took a few reweighs to get everything right from the CAT Scale over off I-5 (about 10-15 minutes away) I didn't have to go back to get reworked but I do have to add only a certain amount of fuel along the route in order to stay legal on my weights. Something to be mindful of when picking up from this shipper.

I worked here for about a year as a driver, and I don't recommend it. unless that is you happen to be involved in the mennonite club. These people do not care about average people that are not serious believers. They will preach the bible through the dispatcher, mechanic, and trainer without your consent in the workplace, they would even pray at company meetings. There is no seniority to the average worker here as I watched them give raises and fair treatment only to their own. I would schedule my doctor appointments in advance and they would tell me on the day of my appointment I need to reschedule because they are busy, and that they couldn't promise me anything. That is because they believe you should pray to a god in the sky that can heal your conditions which is 100% false. Also they hired me on as a company driver and then they subleted me to an owner operator. So I wasnt even driving a company truck, it was another mennonite within their club. When my truck needed repairs it was often difficult to get fixed because the guy I drove for worked a day job and it must have been difficult for him, or too expensive beings it wasnt a company rig. This company also does not follow fmcsa rules or guidelines for electronic logs like an honest company should. They try to make it seem like they are an agricultural company so that they will be exempt. Although they are an agricultural based company, over half of the freight is most certainly not agricultural. Which makes them exempt from being exempt. They run illegal logs on the weekly basis running over the allotted hours and not having 10 hour resets between shifts. which is good for them but hard on the drivers mentally they are often fatigued. Also on some occasions this company runs hazmat loads with drivers who aren't certified hazmat drivers because its convenient and logistically smart. They store hazardous materials in a building that does not have proper permits, or signage on the entryways notifying this to the public. this bunch also haul hazardous materials in a curtain van to and from warehouses without proper signage on the trailers because its easier and more profitable. This company is clearly only looking out for their well being, not the public or the employees

If your load needs to be unloaded by hand (not on pallets), make sure you tell them that, or they'll send you down the road. As soon as the alt location sees you need to be hand unloaded, they'll send you right back here.

I just want to make clear for any honest person to not seek work here .besides no benefits and low pay the man who works in the first office to the right as you come threw the office at Linn west is vary judgemental and likes to judge a book by it cover.in my interview I was nervous and sliped up s lil bit like any normal human being whould do.so I wasn't called back because he thought I was lieing about my experience which also told me he never called my last employer to ask about my experience.i think it's a shame because what I can honestly do with my fork lift far exceeds any truck loading job thay have at Linn west.for example i used to tilt hazerdest liquid out of barrels on to a decant table with out spilling or splashing.i used my forklift to fracture break rock like materials in barrels with out blowing off the lid basically squeezing barrel up and down with fork lift.i also whould have my forklift mass fully extended while dumping materal on to a table that was 20 feet in the air .at the same time making sure the employee that was up on the table was safe at all times.and last but not least all this work on my forklift was also in a fullface respirator for hours. so Linn west truck loading is cake not rocket science..and to the judgemental man I'm glad you didn't hire me.learn how to treat people equaly.
