This is a great store and pharmacy. I'm writing this 5 star review after reading a bad review from someone who had 1 poor experience in their 2+ decades of shopping at this location. I'm sorry, but one bad experience in 20+ years does not warrant a bad review. After all, we're all human, and even staff members have hard days, just like anyone else. I've been coming to this store for many years. My experiences have mostly been good. Sure, sometimes I have to wait in line for a while, but the lines go much quicker than other local pharmacies. "Patience is a virtue."
My teenagers have been able to find Springfield High School merchandise at this location, which we found out part of the proceeds go to our local schools. How many stores do you know that care about local schools? Well, this one does! I'm very happy to keep shopping at Rite Aid on Marcola. I truly hope this one stays around for years to come.

Nice drug store. Pharmacy personnel were friendly and efficient. Did not have to wait for my prescription. Was ready when promised. Felt good about doing business with this store and pharmacy.

I just love the Pharmacy at the Marcola location. I won’t go anywhere else!
Rite Aid Pharmacy is truly exceptional! Their pharmacy techs are absolutely amazing and always go above and beyond to help you. They are very knowledgeable and if they don’t have the answer they will find it out. They make sure that you get the best pricing for your medications, they are always willing to work with you if you can’t find your insurance cards. They will help you try to look it up. Once you give them your info it goes straight into their system and it’s there the next time that I come in. I can count on them to have my prescriptions available that same day. If your Dr. sent a fax for a new or prescription or even a refill, aI can always count on them to have it ready
Even if they don't have your medication in stock, they work quickly to order it for you. After my less-than-stellar experience with Walgreens, I'm so glad I found Rite Aid Pharmacy!"

I have been using this pharmacy for 25 Years I have really enjoyed the customer service and the people working at the counter....... Until the interaction I had today with what appears to be a new, uncaring, gentlemen at the counter. I got a text message at work at 11 AM telling me my prescription was ready for pick up, when I got off work at 6 o'clock I came in and waited in line. When I finally got up to the counter the "gentleman" never made eye contact with me or even looked up from the computer (rude), I gave him the info he asked for and he said we don't have that ready yet, If you have a seat I can have it ready in a little while and I told him I had a little bit of shopping to do and I'd come back. I came back 20 minutes later and waited 15 minutes in line...... again, and when I got to the front he greeted me as if he had never seen me before and we did the same routine to which he said, "huh? Looks like we don't have that ready. But if you'll take a seat, I'll get it ready for you in just a few". I usually don't speak up, but I said I got a text message 5 hours ago, saying it was ready for pick up and all he said was oh. Then look around me to the next person in line and said "I can help you". I wish one of the regular employees were working today cuz I'm not willing to wait in the VERY LONG line for a 3rd time just to be told it's not ready yet or sit, for who knows how long, until my name is called, after he gets around to letting the pharmacist know it needs filled! Maybe someone different will be working tommorow. ?

After dealing with the "W" place with a drive-thru, I was sick of my medicine being out of stock. Not only was my medicine in stock here, they are extremely kind and quick with their service. I'm very happy to have made the switch to Rite Aid. Thank you!

Great pharmacy when I dont have to call. It takes a while to get off hold, absolutely the loudest and worst hold music ever. And by loud, I mean it makes the speakers on any phone I've used crackle.

Staff was very snarky and rude in person and then another time on the phone put me on hold for 25 minutes. I'm not normally one to leave a review but I had to switch pharmacy locations further from where I live just to receive medication. Not comfortable going in there again.

This is my favorite RiteAid probably. Love the seasonal items and the great deals they have. The RiteAid rewards program is pretty rad. Sometimes I’ll get dollar off rewards without even realizing it and get money off my next purchase. I don’t think a lot of people would think RiteAid as a good place to browse but it totally is.

Was looking for a product, thought I would check this store out. The Pharmacy was slam packed, poor staff they look over worked. Searched the area I need to look did not have the product, was going to ask someone if they had heard of the product but they only ones I could see were the ones working in Pharmacy and they had enough to do in my opinion. It was just a big open store with alot of different items you could purchase but saw no staff The Moral of the story is....Is it a company issue of no one applying? Its sad

Was at the checkout today behind one of the most obnoxious humans I've ever come across. He could not stop disparaging women... Loudly. The guy at the counter gently but firmly shut him down before he even understood what had happened. Just saying, not all heroes wear capes. On behalf of women, THANK YOU, my guy.

Everyone is so friendly and helpful but in the last couple of months the lines have gotten longer and slower to get through.Called my prescription in before they opened today, they said it'd be ready by 1230pm and it's 4pm and I have to wait 20 minutes for it to be ready. Very frustrating.
