Would give minus five if that were possible. Before The Big Merger with a Bigger Fish in another state, the NWCU customer service was okay. Better than the big banks but - just okay. Since The Big Merger the customer service just plain tanked. Tanked so bad, moving my accounts to a federal savings and loan. How tanked. Let me count the ways. Offshore member services except limited daytime business day hours and sometimes not even then. Contradictory information among even management. Very high pressure to buy certain financial products that are actually very poor performing and not in the customer's best interest. Constant pressure to rollover 401(k) from employer's to the credit union (mentioned every single visit whether to customer service or even a teller and including lobby signs - well those are easy to ignore!). In-bank customer service, usually incommunicado except for the times they are unpleasant ranging from unfriendly to downright rude. The lobby tellers are actually good but using drive thru with the scratchy terrible audio is a disaster. Almost every aspect of dealing with NWCU is fraught. Maybe all this is top down from "new corporate management" but I'm so DONE with experiencing it. Sorry, NWCU. I'm outta there.

Dont get there credit card, if you are having financial difficulties because of a death in the family or lose of a job, they will hold your bank account for ransom tell you pay the minimum balance, even if it will hurt you. They do not care. Too answer your response i did talk to the credit card department and had set it up a payment plan, but someone else decided to not go with the plan i had previously discussed with. So instead i was foced to pay it earlier by the credit department and that made me have to renig on other people that i had budgeted in for this week, and i have to get endorsement on my license that i explained to the lady i was talking to that i need for my CDL, but now i cant afford, hopefully my job will understand.

Worst bank they have fees for ever single thing . Fees & more fees, The tellers straight up lie to you one tells you one thing the other another thing lies and more lies. Fees & fees. Couple months back I wasnt able to access my account or balance for days and what did We got nothing a least a $5 of courtesy but nope. But as soon you ask them for something fees& more fees. Dont not recommended so much for “community bank” I will stick to a big bank from now on.

Over five years, we have had both good and bad experiences. After yet another example of them being more interested in solving their problems than our problems as customers, we are moving to a different credit union. It will have some of the same problems (e.g. lousy credit card web site) inherent to credit unions but maybe they will show some interest in meeting our simple needs.

I've decided this bank is for an older generation than me, and I'm 45 so I really don't think they're getting it and I don't see myself here very much longer. they just brought back extra fees when all other places are getting rid of them as one example.

[*edit* As far as I know, if you bank here and refer your friend to open a checking acct, they GIVE you BOTH $50!! $50 for you, then $50 for your friend!! Ask for the refer-a-friend card. It's as simple as it sounds!]They are good to you here. If you close your account I think they return your membership fee. They don't have any financial penalties for not keeping a minimum balance. Some banks charge you $20 a month for not keeping $200 at all times. Beware banks offering 'No minimum deposit/ no monthly fee.. ...for 90 days'

Horrible bank. No help with fraud, they haven't been helpful with a legitimate fraud claim twice. Stay far away. Worst credit union ever

I just can’t imagine they are still in business. Just waiting till the first of the year to move my business accounts to a new bank. I truly hope they either change leadership or close their doors. “Credit union” code for bank. Same fees and sometimes more.Straight garbage from top to bottom

Update: after going into the branch to close my checking account and deactivate it and my debit card, leaving a simple savings account open. I was contacted a month later by the branch to let me know that I was overdrawn in my savings account. They never delinked the account so when a Netflix charge attempted to pull they charged me yet another $28 late fee. Leaving me to spend another hour plus dealing with this bank because when you call it's a minimum 20 min on hold before you can ever reach anyone. I am now trying to make a deposit using their app to correct the issue and of course it's not available at this time. So I'm on hold again going on 30 min to try and talk to someone. As they have had the time to call me and mail me a letter about the $13 that my savings account is currently overdrawn. This company is a complete mess between the terrible technology of their bill pay system, complete lack of customer care, under staffing, and the list goes on. Don't bank here.

Scams just like the banking system. Overdraft fees given for pending charges when cash is deposited before it post. Then charging another overdraft fee for the previous overdraft fee taking the account negative. These crooks are just as bad as the shady banks

We had a loan for a vehicle with them for years. In that time we moved cross country (3 years ago). We changed our address. I know this because we received bills to our new address and when I called in I have to give them my new address to verify my account. Recently, we paid off the loan, but didn't receive the title. Upon calling I was told they sent it to our old address and I was at fault for not checking that the old address was deleted. Nice gaslighting a good client. So, now my title is in the hands of who knows who, and I'm stuck with the Bill to get a new title. But what most shocks me is the lack of responsibility they are talking.
