I was forced to open an HSA account here through my prior employer. I would never in a million year willingly chose to open an account with these people!! Employees that were forced to open an account here had their own horror stories as to how difficult this place is to work with, however this review is on my own experiences. I left that employer last year, but still had money in the HSA account, I had the hardest time just getting my contact information updated with the bank so that I would receive information on my account and not the old employer, after two months of terrible back and forth I was finally able to get the information correct and got a new debit card issued. Four months later when I attempt to use the debit card it is declined, however I KNOW I have money because I receive monthly statements noting the funds available and the monthly interest accrued. I call to find out why my card does not work to be informed my account has been made dormant. I received no information on the supposed information they provided about making my account dormant due to no activity. Never has a fiduciary institution that is custodian to other people's money had interest ever been considered "no activity". And I spoke with people at this bank less than 6 month ago! This place is now holding my money hostage and will not allow me access to my funds or distribute them to me. I am filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau for their practices.

Didn't listen and I had to repeat myself that I don't have a bank. Also FYI multiple DIFFERENT banks have the same name so make sure you have the right citizens bank...

Either the website is a liar or Nancy in the savings account department is a liar, either way a very untrustworthy bank.

Do you remember when banks knew their customers by name. Well, Citizens Bank in Springfield still does! While I tend to avoid big banks and go with credit unions... Citizens Bank is the best of both worlds. And I particularly Love banking with Citizens at the Springfield Branch. While I won't mention their names here, this team is a class act with the very best in customer service. They have not only been able to take care of all of my banking and financial needs, after a recent medical incident, I received a get well card with personal notes signed by each and every staff member. If you wonder if this review is for real... go into Citizens Springfield with this review, and I bet they know who wrote it! :) Citizens Bank, Springfield Branch gets 5 stars for customer service, professionalism, and great business with a wonderful, old-fashioned personal touch. UPDATE: Summer 2016... Three years later, I wish I could give Citizens Bank Springfield 6 out of 5 stars. My experience of this branch has only gotten better and better. Thank you Citizens Bank! It truly is a pleasure to do business with you.
