As a whole I actually liked "Banner" but the Springfield branch is terrible!! I'm (and many of my family members and businesses) actually a old-school customer and started out as a Siuslaw Valley Bank member in one form or another (since the 90's!) and then Banner bought them out. We decided to stay and have both personal and business and even opened up all of our kids 1st checking accounts with them..... as most of the old employees chose to leave over a matter of a few years after Banner took over, things started to go down hill. There is now a few "higher up" employees that are terrible at there job or following through with things... we had a account issue (charges over and over from accounts that shouldn't be getting charged and in the end we canceled that account # and got new ones to be safe. We'll they continued to process/forward payments from the old accounts and by doings so kept causing us over-drafts etc etc.... then had the nerve to tell me my account was being watched because of it and being limited and I pointed out yet again that it was only happening because they kept forwarding the very charges from the old account we closed!! She said oh well I'm just going to stop all of them then and process NONE and then you can add one by one... I pointed out that was what was supposed to happen in the 1st place! Well guess what, she did NOT fix it yet again!! We finally got so tired of it we stopped direct deposits and most autopays and just added exact amounts manually to cover the couple and left them at zero so that way we could monitor it better so IF they ever took care of it we could easily tell.... well this went on for multiple months AGAIN and instead of handling it they closed one of 6 of our accounts because I refused to transfer money in for those charges and fees from the charges anymore! Then 2 weeks ago I get a call from the branch manager who left a message and number FINALLY and said I could call back to talk about the accounts so I called back the same day and left my info and then again the next week and i STILL havnt gotten a call back!!! The Eugene branches are great and I even asked if I could have them handle our accounts but they said springfield had to deal with it all.... short of it is, after decades of accounts with them I am so so disappointed with the way they handled things and even worse the way the "account boss lady" is EXTREMELY rude and condescending about it all, even after I pointed out it was only happening because they where still processing charges from a dead account! And then to not have the manager call me back after finally calling in the 1st place. TRULY disappointing after so many years of great service.

cant trust them with your money! stole $100 from my wife and when i questioned them about it they tried to say she pocketed it, it was our rent money. they keep saying someone will get back to us and nobody ever does. dont bank with them!

deposited 1400 and they only counted 1300. didn't have me sign a deposit slip cause they pocketed the $100 now I'm short on rent.

Refreshing to deal with folks that WANT to do business with you. I've had the pleasure of dealing with other banks that were a royal pain in the rear.Flabbergasted that they make it hard FOR ME TO GIVE THEM MONEY.But not at banner, they take it with a smile so I can live my life and conduct business.Thanks guys!

Typically when I go there, it's usually around lunchtime so there are not a lot of tellers right there waiting for you. However, the customer service that I have received at the Banner Bank on Main Street has been very nice and supportive. So just please remember to factor in the time when you arrive there. Banner Bank also has a mobile app, so if you need to put in a check, you can always do a snapshot deposit.

I just recently made a bank account here which was an amazing experience but since then, my debit card has been late getting here, and I’ve been having multiple problems with my bank account and all you guys had to tell me was you don’t know. This is your job, I can’t get an answer myself that’s why you are there to give me one not tell me know you don’t know what’s going on with my account. I don’t trust this bank so far and you guys aren’t doing a good job keeping my account safe by not knowing what’s going on. I hope you guys can fix it because I’m becoming a very frustrated customer.
