Albertsons has a monopoly in most of Springfield. (They also own Safeway). Their prices are at least 25% more than say WinCo. They are squeezing their customers out of every penny they can. They are also squeezing their employees. More self checkout, less help in the deli and other areas. Realizing how they really dont value customers my last straw was when they refused to sell me a bottle of wine. I'm 65. My hair is gray. I only brought my credit card with me. I was barked at by a stressed employee that everyone gets carded. New policy, get used to it. I shop elsewhere now even though this is the closest store. I feel sorry for those who have no choice but to shop there.

I usually order online for pickup at a different Albertsons but decided to try this one on Friday. I'm not sure if it's dishonesty or pure carelessness but these discrepancies are not acceptable. I ordered 2 packages of chicken breast at 2 lbs each. My receipt shows they subbed for 2 packages at 3 lbs each. What I received was a package of 1.73 lb and a package of 1.69 lb. The dollar amounts scanned are more than the dollar amounts on the packages of chicken which could only mean that the more expensive chicken was deliberately scanned. Another issue was that I was charged $4 for a single shallot. Why? Because it was put in a bag with a big onion then weighed. Asked for a gallon of milk, none was provided due to being out of stock. So I had other substitutions on my order but nothing for milk? Seems odd that they had no other options to substitute for a different gallon of milk.After further review of produce weight on my receipt vs weight shown on the sticker there were more discrepancies. I order online to save time so spending time to verify the employee is processing my order correctly defeats the purpose. I'm not sure how this would benefit the employee unless it's a bait and switch, but in any case I won't be ordering from here again.

There are only two toilets available one for men one for women. Women's was out of order and I had to use men's restroom. Seriously? one toilet for that big store? And it was so gross too!

This week I tried to order online for pickup for the first time at Albertson's. Worst online experience EVER! First, they give you no way to write in substitutes for out of stock items. You can only choose if you would like a difference size or different brand. For many items, this doesn't work. For instance, if I want a 3 lb bag of organic mixed fruit for smoothies, I don't want a smaller size and I definitely don't want something not organic. What I would prefer is a 3 lb bag of organic blueberries or strawberries instead. But no way to write that in. Then, when I remember some more things I needed, it was already closed to changes to the order and it was still the day BEFORE my pickup! That is just ridiculous. Every other store I've ever shopped online allowed you to change your order until at least midnight the night before. Then, when I tried to go into my account, it kept saying my login was wrong though I knew it wasn't. Then, after all that, I couldn't even get the site to open up. I kept putting in my zip code and it kept saying there were no results for my area, even though there are two Albertson's near me and I ordered at one of them! Very very frustrating. Much much easier at Walmart, Fred Meyer and others. I won't be doing this again at Albertson's.

Advertised $5.77 per lb Beef Ribeye Roast. When you go checkout. It's not the one. There was a sign and 10 roasts right next to it where the butcher told me to go. They all say Rib Roast. Apparently those are not the one. So where are the Beef Ribeye Roast? This happens a lot at this Albertsons. Very disappointed.

Been coming here for years. Since Bi mart shut down their pharmacy the line is horrible!!!! 1/2 hour to 1 hour wait. 1-2 cashiers. Albertsons has had more than enough time to prepare for the change over. Get it together people!!!!

I see all these bad reviews on here and I'm shocked. Can't be the Albertsons on Main in Springfield?? Though the prices are higher there, that's my only complaint. The employees have always been super friendly and helpful!! And the complaint about the stockers? They've always stopped what they were doing and helped me when I've had questions. The meat counter has always carried fresh meat that I've seen and always plenty of variety! All I can say is we are all human. No one is perfect. People have bad days. Bear Nunnemaker

The app ... 90% of the time the coupon app does not work and have to argue with them about it or have to pay full price that defeats the purpose of using the app today half my stuff came up for the sale but the other did not left the store with out the things I went in first place and this is not the first time or the 10th time but if your not watching what it charges your paying full price ! it happens a lot at this store
