Troy is a very good, respectful, and honest mechanic. He is excellent and quick about diagnosing problems. He is also willing to make "house calls" to help out with your car. Troy is great with either hot rods or new cars, and he has a very good array of tools to work with. Plus, his pricing is reasonable along with having good customer skills. Troy is a great go-to guy for your car needs.

I retired from the Portland area to Central Oregon...bringing along my Portland Roadster Show Multiple Class winning 1933 Ford Tudor Street Sedan...through friends in my car club The Line Chasers I was given the name Troy McDonald At Covert Customs as a mechanic that was honest, knew much about rods & customs and was very thorough in his work. That was three years ago...since then I’ve added my wife’s 1955 Chevy restomod to our garage. Troy is my mechanic of choice and has solved issues with my rides that others could not. He has installed Vintage Air in the ‘55...retro fitted the dash with audio & gauges, solved engine electrical problems resulting a reliable ride for my wife & me. I blew out a transmission line in my ‘33 Ford..Troy picked it up at my home and not only rebuilt the transmission...he chased other things that he saw...”Troy McDonald will treat your ride as his own!” My ‘33 was driven by my son to The Bay Area where it spent last summer...Is now back here and runnin’ great! Thanks Troy...

Troy has and continues to work on both my rides...a 1933 Ford Model 40 2dr Street Rod...I tried another shop to repair driver’s door jam and 4 piece hood fitment...They were unable to repair either even though I received a billing! “Troy got it done!” so when I had my C-4 transmission drop fluid all over S/R...it to Troy! My adult son is driving the ‘33 to his come in Campbell, CA for the summer...Currently my ‘55 Chevy BelAir 2dr Hdtp is in for hood & fender fitment...window fitment...suspension work...install of OEM dash trim...retro Wonderbar radio and Vintage Air AC install along with engine upgrades & tuning...Thanks Troy for chasing fabrication issues and several unexpected issues that needed remedied...Larry Weber Sunriver
