“This place ROCKS! I was dumb and put loud exhaust on my Jeep Rubicon. I asked them to make it quiet and they did the rest of the work. They also checked out my rotors and installed new brake pads for me. The wild part - they did it all in a single afternoon and for an amazingly great price. I wish I had more work for them! “I have been using Sherwood Auto Repair for the last 16 years or so. They have worked on numerous vehicles for me and my friends and a few neighbors. I don't know anyone that was not satisfied with their work ...for a number of good reasons. Foremost is their honesty. They do their best to determine what is wrong and tell you what they can do to fix it. They don't "upsell". They don't recommend work, parts, or services to fatten the bill. Which means they are usually less expensive then a dealer. In the most extreme case for me ...dealer said my Toyota pickup needed a new engine for $tousands but Sherwood got me running again for $400 in repairs. That was 14 years ago and the pickup is still running. They are a small "family" type shop but have high-skill, certified, mechanics and trustworthy pricing. For me, they are to auto-repair what Les Schwab is to tires. Friendly, high skill, trustworthy, resonable in price. You can't do better than that.”

“First off, I just want to say these guys saved me a lot of money. I went to another auto repair shop and they quoted me close to $800 to get two things fixed in regard to my coolant leaking. This repair shop found one issue and basically charged me less than half. I’ve been driving my car for more than a week now and haven’t seen any leaks. Rob looked into it further. Found a few options. Provided a detailed invoice and answered a lot of questions. I decided to get a second opinion, and had my car shipped out from Portland to Beaverton and Jim told me that was not a necessary job. “I'm shocked at some of the most recent reviews. My experience is totally different. My car is 28 years old and I recently had to go to several different shops for various issues going on and quotes. Canby transmission was the only up front shop that I interacted with!! Zach and the person who worked on my car (don't know his name) were transparent and honest, and fair with their pricing. I didn't feel like there were any pricing games that I experienced elsewhere. I know nothing about cars and I think this is often taken advantage of, but at Canby it wasn't that way (verified also by numerous other quotes I got for the same work, and the vibe) They were professional and did a great job, at a very reasonable rate. I even asked if they do more than just transmissions because they were extremely professional and detailed with the interactions from beginning to end. I highly recommend going here!”

“My clutch failed completely in my 2011 Ford Ranger on Monday. Another shop didn't want to deal with a major clutch job. They said I shouldn't look any further than The Bolts on Motors shop in Sherwood for the clutch work. As soon as I had my truck towed to the shop. Mary had the truck checked and the staff said "sure." They knew what to do within the hour.
An estimate was written up with a complete description explained to me. An appointment was set up for Wednesday and the work was completed by Thursday using all Ford parts. The price was very reasonable compared to my regular Ford dealership. I was surprised how smooth a properly working clutch shifted. The work came with a 12 months 12,000 mile warranty on parts and labor.
I would recommend Bolts on Motors completely. It is the "Go to Shop" people always seek out.”
