Sherwood Auto Body charged my insurance company $3500 to repair the bumper cover on my SUV two years ago.
Today, the thing fell off again and I found that there was literally nothing actually repaired by them. They willing and knowingly committed insurance fraud.
Tomorrow I will give them the opportunity to refund the money they were paid or to actually fix what they were supposed to have done.
They were supposed to have fixed a few other things as well which they didn’t. He said oh I forgot. He had the vehicle for 3 months. You forgot isn’t a legitimate reason.
There were literally only 6 screws holding it In place when there should have been 16.
Nice insurance scam you got going on.

This guy had my car for 5 months, didn't finish the work, promised to pay for a rental car I had and didn't, ignored all my calls, kept me in the dark on everything.
HORRIBLE experience. DO NOT GO HERE. I called 5 times on my way to work one morning, ignored every time. Called from my work phone and what do you know, guy answers on the first ring. Lie after lie after lie. I ended up having to take my car back unfinished, and spent another 2k at the dealership for them to fix what he made worse. He twisted and pinched my coolant and transmission oil lines to the point that neither of them were receiving fluids. The dealerships exact statement was "I don't know what happened in here but the last guy f'd this whole thing up". Do with that what you will.
Terrible service, terrible work, terrible business. Do not take your car here under any circumstances.
Edit: just got my car back from the dealership. 2500$ to fix what he fd up. Honestly worth it to not have to deal with this place anymore.

So I took my vehicle to Sam after a small accident. He charged our insurance company $3500 and from what was returned to me, he didn’t actually do any real work. What he did, I could have done better myself.I let the insurance provider know that he’s a con who likely committed insurance fraud and sent them the images of the “repairs” he actually did for $3500.He simply reattached the bumper using the same fixtures which were already present on the vehicle. He didn’t replace any parts, he didn’t even fix the other things he said he would. All he did was throw a few screws in and call it good.Do yourselves a favor, don’t use him, you’ll regret your choice to do so, I do.Services: Electrical

Very unhappy with Sam. Took over 4 months to get a simple seat belt and somehow the car was returned with additional scratches and an improperly aligned hood/ fender. After a small accident, this should have been easy. I regret using this shop and will never recommend him to anyone. Between the shoddy work and the horrific communication/ lies, TAKE YOUR CAR ELSEWHERE!

Charged me a third of what the other guys estimated. When the part took longer than expected to arrive, I was told they would not be charging for labor.

I would not recommend this business. I brought my 1967 Mustang to Sam for a new paint job in March, 2019 and I had it picked up in April, 2021. The paint job and trim work was ok. He recommended new brakes. When I got the car back the breaks did not work - my mechanic said they were not for this model of mustang and the car was not driveable - and definitely not safe. So I had to spend more money to get new brakes installed. The car hood wouldn't close due to misaligment (a problem they caused and it should have been fixed) and it was held together with a bungee cord. It looks like he took my original hardware for inside the car and probably put it on someone else's car. He told me on several occassions the car was ready when in fact it was not. I'm surprised he is still in business - he is a very shady business person and I would not recommend giving him any business.Services: Brakes

Absolutely the best service. Today,when there is such bad customer service it is wonderful to find a professional car service shop that is professional, caring and very communicative.

Absolutely dreadful experience. I was lucky to get my car sortof completed after almost 1.5 years for a paint job i was told would take a couple of months. Shoddy work had to be repaired multiple times. I spent countless hours traveling to his shop over and over only to be lied to - he'd tell me work had been done, i'd come to have a look to find out that it hadn't. I can only imagine what would've happened had i not been proactive. This was far and away the worst all around experience I've ever had dealing with a service provider - please save yourself the agony i experienced and avoid Sam and his business at all costs.

I needed front brakes and after getting several estimates l stopped at Sherwood Auto Center. After a real break inspection, Sam and I talked about what I really needed to spend to fix it. So I then asked what I could get for the amount I was thinking I had to spend. I had them done Saturday but I got all 4 breaks completely done and upgraded to drilled and slotted rotors they even painted the new calipers. My breaks work perfectly now,and look pretty cool too. I never thought getting my brakes done would make me this happy. Thank you Sam, Mike and Pete

I just had my brakes and rotors done there on Saturday the shop was full so the mechanic did them outside in the rain. They did an outstanding job but what I'm writing about is that Sunday Sam called me and said to go out and see if my vehicle was leaking antifreeze because there was some fluid on the spot my brakes were done. Sure enough bad water pump. I called back and he said to bring it in the morning, I did and it was done by 2:00 and the bill was very fair. I'm very happy with the way I was treated

I wish I would have believed the reviews and not taken my car to this place, Sam's very con vincing, he and his buddy Larry will say yes, yes yes to your face and not do anything or not call. Basically there way over their head in business and too many cars to work on, I don't usually write reviews but PLEASE do yourself a favor and don't go here, it's an exercise in FRUSTRATION...
