I appreciated Steve's high standard of quality and accuracy in getting work done! I recently brought my Acer laptop to him after the first one had a defective microprocessor and his work was thorough and exceeded my expectations. Steve kept troubleshooting the installation as there were glitches, and only gave it to me when it met his reliability requirements. Thank you to Steve and his team for always coming through!

While the staff is very nice, I cannot recommend this place for laptop repairs. I brought my laptop in wanting it to be able to factory reset since it would not work when I tried. I left with it not even being able to power on, and some weird buldges in the casing that was not there prior. It seems clear to me that during the process of reparing, something was damaged. So I was then told they could not work on it anymore, that there was now a bigger issue they were not capable of fixing themselves, and recommended me to someone they thought would be able to fix it for a much higher price. Mind you, fixing an expensive problem I never had before. Because of this, they didn't charge me for some of their services, which is apperciated. However, I still came in with a small problem, and left with an even bigger and more expensive one. Needless to say, I wish I never brought my laptop here.

I've been involved with computers since 1982 (commodore 64 era) and at age 73 prided myself in my knowledge of computers and technical "stuff." Until I was hacked, that is. I had seen AMT's store near the Sherwood post office & took my Possessed laptop in on an information mission. Steve was in the shop that day and was so kind and knowledgeable that I felt comfortable leaving my computer with him. Little did I know at that time that banks send customers who have been hacked to AMT and this type of crime is not uncommon, even in Sherwood. Not only did he save me $$$, but he was generous with information that will help me in the future. Great place, great people.

The best customer service I have ever experienced in my life. I took in my computer for several issues and Steve was able to promptly and professionally diagnose what was going on while taking the time to explain it to me (since I am not very computer literate). After he explained my options, I opted for a rebuild (hope I am using that term right) and my computer is currently working like a dream. This place is a gem and I cannot recommend it enough.

I recently had the hard drive crash on my laptop computer. The laptop would not start up at all. I dropped it off with Steve. He was able to quickly diagnose it and replace the hard drive. He was able to recover all the data from the old hard drive and install it on the new hard drive. The new hard drive is about 4-5 times faster than the old hard drive. The cost was very reasonable. About $ 125 for the hard drive and about $ 75 for labor. The $200 I spent will extend the life of my laptop for several years. It also runs much faster. Steve is really easy to work with. I am relieved to have someone local to help me when I have computer issues. I would recommend them if you are in need of their services.

I went here 2 weeks ago to ask questions about a pc and possible recommendations and they were incredibly helpful! Just last week I took my PC build in and they tested some issues that I had and helped me find the right parts that I needed to get. Overly happy with the incredible customer service and amazing feel that this company brings to Sherwood!

This shop is amazing! It's just like the indie PC parts stores I used to frequent way back in junior high - the latest and best parts, knowledgeable and curious staff, and a growing community of regulars. Enjoyed seeing kids use the workbench and learn how to assemble their rigs. I thought these kinds of shops were long gone in the age of Amazon Prime, but Steve has brought it back with incredible friendliness and transparency. We must've chatted for 45 minutes about component market craziness on my first visit. I learned a ton about his perspective as a retailer, and it endeared great respect for how he runs the place. Can't wait to go back.

My 13 year old daughter was assigned the intimidating project of building her own school computer. We chose to go to AMT because we figured that although it was likely to cost more than big box stores, we would have the advantage of knowledgeable staff. We were very excited to see that the pricing was not only competitive, but the staff actively looked for ways to save us money. There was never any pressure to upgrade items. In fact there were a few things we had chosen that they suggested we would not need. The owners, family, and staff are all extremely helpful. We set up a time for my daughter to learn to build. Steve (one of the owners) spent several hours helping her one on one. She left with a fully operational computer that she had chosen the parts for and built herself. By the time we left, we felt like we were one of the family! Thank you AMT for giving us such a fantastic experience! A++ for knowledgeable staff, great customer service, quality products, and community support! We will be back.

What a great addition to Sherwood.AMT expertly built a custom computer for St. Paul Lutheran Church here in Sherwood for streaming media. They personally delivered it, set it up, and made sure that our Media Director was fully satisfied, even helped her load and install application software. When my MAC ran out of disk space, AMT flawlessly added 2TB!The knowledge and experience of the crew at AMT is obvious. If you have computer or cellphone (they repair those too) problems or needs -- to repair an existing device or for a new computer -- come here.

Came in for help testing what part of my computer was faulty. They charged a reasonable and *flat* cost for the tech help, even when we took all afternoon and some of the next morning. When I needed replacement parts, they had good recommendations and offered to install anything I bought from them (which he went and price matched from Best Buy’s listing with no prompting from me) as part of the service fee I was already paying! The motherboard and CPU no less, hardly a minimal task. When a problem with my drives then came up and seemed to stump them, I came in the next morning and he hadn’t given up - managed to get it all fixed. I even brought in a new video card I had just gotten in from the mail elsewhere and they plugged it in too at no extra charge “since they already had the machine on their desk anyway.”
