Update: they no longer answer the phone. 100% of the time it loops with no human picking up. Dropping to 1-star because of bottom of the barrel customer service.
Been a pharmacy customer here since it switched from a Payless in the 90’s. They get an extra star because Linda who works there is awesome. The people who work there are mostly great, but somehow the pharmacy is still way behind the times.
Some of the false claims:
Rite Aid: We offer prescription delivery. You just need to sign up online.
Truth: They don’t.
Rite Aid: During Covid we are offering curbside pickup.
Truth: They don’t.
Rite Aid: If you call in you can update your insurance and billing info over the phone.
Truth: You can’t. Need to come in and stand in line.
Rite Aid: We can’t fulfill that prescription right now. There’s a National shortage of Brand X.
Truth: Went next door to Safeway and got Brand X filled in ten minutes. Pharmacy Tech was not aware of any shortage.
Rite Aid: Press 3 to speak with someone in the Pharmacy.
Truth: 80% of the time their phone tree system will loop indefinitely until you hang up, because they’re a) understaffed? b) don’t care? c) their phone system sucks?
Either way, the customer loses.
Why have I stuck with this pharmacy for so long? Because I like some of the staff, but the reality is, probably any other pharmacy is more convenient and user-friendly.
Fool me 713 times, shame on me.

The staff is wonderful; friendly and polite!
However be SURE to check the 'best by' date of EVERYTHING you buy there- I just bought a mac and cheese bowl that was over a month out of date!

It has taken 4 trips and counting to get prescriptions filled that were sent to them over a week ago. The staff including the pharmacist are somewhat rude and seem completely disinterested in providing any thing that resembles decent customer service. I am aware that pharmacies have challenges with staffing these days and I have never encountered this level of dysfunction with any other pharmacy in the past.

I'm honestly worried about their employees in the pharmacy.

Page, in the Pharmacy, is the best! Her expertise is appreciated by customers and other staff as well.

This one is just as bad as the warrenton one. Terrible and/or miserable people only seem to apply? Usually understaffed with super long lines plus to top it off they're now closed on weekends, the pharmacy is anyway. And close at 6pm ON THE DOT every day.

This is the worst pharmacy I have ever been to. Not only was the pharmacist condescending and rude, she refused to find my insurance after giving her the needed ID numbers. She did not listen and then refused to fill my prescription. She refused to do the basic work that she gets paid to do and tried to tell me I was in the wrong when her system was the issue. When I came into the pharmacy to pick up my paper prescription, she would not even let me speak to her even thought I did not raise my voice or speak rudely to her. She yelled at me to get out of the store and after I called back, they threatened to have me arrested. After this issue, I took my prescription to Albertsons and they found my insurance in their system without even needing my ID number. I was in and out in 5 minutes and my prescription was ready in less than 30 minutes. Maybe rite aid should take some notes from their pharmacy on how to treat their customers.Never go to this pharmacy unless you want to treated awfully and pay out of pocket when you are fully covered under insurance. They are lazy, unprofessional, and rude.

Again, Rite Aid customer service is terrible. With the pharmacy not being open on the weekends and taking 3 to 4 days to fill a prescription that was received by this store on Friday afternoon when I need it for breathing does not impress me! Unfortunately I do not have a lot of choices where to shop because Rite Aid has a lock on Medicare covered prescriptions in this town. Consider me as being a disgruntled customer that wishes I had more shopping options than having no choice but to shop at this store. The Seaside Rite Aid pharmacist informed me that according to their computer, the Advair disc I needed was in stock in Warrenton and I drove 36 miles round trip to that Rite Aid location only to learn they don't stock it and never have, as it is special order only!Hopefully a company like Amazon will get into the pharmacy business as they know who the customer is and how to give prompt service. Maybe Rite Aid should reconsider their business model as what is offered does not work!I expected more from a national company and look forward to the day that this store closes when some other pharmacy opens and delivers service with a good attitude.

The rudest staff in pharmacy ever!!! Negative star is more like it. Never go into that store again. Staff really need some customer service classes.

This has got to be the most incompetent pharmacy I have ever experienced. Waiting on a mental health prescription for over a month now because Rite Aid keeps telling me "we haven't received the script from the doctor," while the doctor is telling me they sent it off over a month ago. I have had so many issues with this place, this is just another in a long line. I don't understand how they make it this difficult, but I have never once had even a remotely similar bad experience(s) anywhere else aside from the Seaside Rite Aid. If you're waiting on/need a serious prescription filled, I highly advise you to go elsewhere. Just switched pharmacies today, and am having major trouble getting the prescription refilled yet again within two months at the new place because of this. Terrible.
