I am not sure why this is called the man store. Kinda sexist because they sell stuff both sexes would like. Being a Man, I wondered what would be sold in The Man Store. Knick Knacks? That's what they sell at The Man Store. Would you like a puzzle or a kite? Maybe a 1955 Chevy replica toy car? I'm not sure what most men like to buy but this store seems more like a place to get gifts for someone younger in your life than a man store. I was thinking it would have tools or hunting equipment but that's my opinion and I also don't work at The Man Store. So really, it's none of my business what they sell here but I scoff every time I walk by.

Asked my disabled friend to carry their service dog. Which would render it incapable of performing its duty. Very discriminating

Awesome store! Most stores cater to females, granted they do products for women but this is a can't miss men's store!

Denied a service handler and there dog. Threatened to call the police over the phone when confronted. States they have some type of license that allows them to deny service animal. No such thing exists

This store denies access to legitimate Service Dog teams and demands fraudulent documentation to enter their store with a dog task trained for your disability. In short they discriminate against disabled people. They claim they have a (get this) “special license” that allows them to deny Service Dogs and write any policy they want even if it goes above ADA legislation. I know right? Oregon has a law that reflects that a one sided party may agree to a phone recording, and yes phone conversations were in fact recorded and what was said was absolutely appalling. The business owner cussed out a handler and threatened to call police when a name was asked for as well as a copy of the stores written policy for reference.ADA states a business may not disallow entry of a Service Dog. Oregon state law declares you may not disallow entry for an SD or one in training even.ADA states you cannot require or ask for documentation, certification, ID, Vest or identifying marker as a condition of entry. EVER. Certification and registration ARE NOT proof of service dog validity. Finally a business or person can be fined for interfering with a service animal in the state of Oregon or hinder its ability to do its job. This business can be subject to lawsuit for this action if discrimination as well.?Better Business Bureau has been contacted.?Department of Disability Services: Civil Rights Division has been contacted.?ADA hotline for an advocate has been contacted.?Department of Justice has been contacted?Bureau State if Labor and Industries has been contacted.? Oregon Consumer Protection has been contacted.?Manager of Seaside has been contacted.Because this was not right or okay. Two handlers tried to offer documents and gov website links to illustrate the law and the store refused to even look at them. Refused a disabled persons right to shop like everyone else simply for having their medical equipment. It’s disgusting and it will not stand.

Hubby and I had fun looking around. I drive a muscle car but sadly there wasn't anything with my model on it. In the back they have some lady stuff, bought a pretty bracelet. Had a great Convo with the cashier. She is amazing, friendly , funny and very insightful on the state of how things are in life.....we agreed on a lot of things...she is brilliant and great to chat with. You GO GIRL!
