Hamlet Quick Stop is a unique and memorable local business in Oregon that combines a gas station, dusty curio store, and gun shop. Visitors often find it to be a one-of-a-kind place with a friendly, genuine atmosphere rooted in mountain folk hospitality. It is well-loved by travelers for its convenient location on the way to and from the coast, offering essentials like snacks, energy drinks, and gas—though some caution that the pumps may dispense more water than fuel. The store features unusual sale options and a quirky ambiance, making it a fun stop for people watching and curiosity. It has become a favorite spot for many to rest, refuel, and even grab camping gear or a hunting license. The place has a colorful history, including a brief appearance in the movie Kindergarten Cop, and is known for its humorous and unexpected moments, like waking up to roosters crowing next to a parked truck. Despite some mixed reviews about service and the quality of gas, visitors often praise the kindness of the staff and the character of the establishment. Whether stopping for a quick snack, a coffee, or just to experience a different kind of roadside stop, Hamlet Quick Stop remains a distinctive and well-loved part of Oregon travel.
I have traveled almost all of oregon in the past 9 months and this gas station hosted sum of the kindest hand any human could ask for. Good hearted genuine mountain folk. Wish more existed in this world this day and age.

One of a kind quick stop...I take people here for the shock value of the bathroom and unusual sale options in the store. Even with all the bad reviews, I still love this place

Our favorite gas station on the way to Seaside. Has a little bit of everything.
