4 items in self service, camera sees my personal shopping bag in cart and I have to wait until an overworked clerk clears the machine. FM finding new ways to inconvenience the customer.

7/2024: Since Maps never tells me locations when it asks for updates I'm glad I put down which one this is.
10/2024: I'm hoping the mega-merger (Safeway / Kroger aka Fred Meyer) doesn't go through. While I think Fred Meyer was only mildly harmed by being bought by Kroger; I think the mixing of the corporations' styles would be dreadful. Not to mention all the standard monopoly problems.

Clean store, nice staff, good selection. The parking lot is annoying and their self-checkout always makes me feel like a criminal with them breathing down my neck (in particular the dude who resembles the old man from back to the future) on top of the digital voice yelling at me from the kiosk. Much more relaxed experience at the grocery outlet down the road. Freddys has a couple specific items is the only reason I have to come here now.
Update: The summer produce has been pathetic. Withered loose carrots. Seriously? Wow…

Rented a Rug Doctor. Spent 45 minutes cleaning it before returning but Fred Meyer wouldn't give me back my deposit.
In the future, I won't bother cleaning a rental before returning. If Fred Meyer is going to keep my cleaning deposit after I went to the trouble of returning a clean unit, then it's going to earn the damn deposit.

The first thing is I bought 2 pkgs hamburger took it home and within 4 hrs the meat was spoiled. Second time I went to buy porkchop and they spoiled with in 1 day. Third day. We are not from Oregon had to pick up order didn't know how the process worked and so I went to the customer service to ask for help and the lady was rude kept saying to get the app . I ask if she could call the pickup place and all she kept saying was get the app. I will never shop fred Meyers. You need to teach your employees to be NICE.
