What an awesome nurse and doctor team. It’s apparent in their actions, questions and concern for my pets well-being, that they’re truly dog lovers. Or they both were Golden Globe level actors ??? I was late for an initial visit because I ended up at the wrong location. That was supposed to be a 10 or 15 min thing for heart-worm prevention. But not only were they kind enough to still see my boy, they also took the time to meet my other 2 lil dogs that had to tag along as well. And since my boy had never been to this location, they even took the time to do a complete 1st check up on him. I highly recommend that you don’t arrive late as they are very busy but I was very pleasantly surprised they didn’t require me to reschedule. If you’re looking for a vet, I suggest you make an appointment to come here. You and your furry family members will absolutely love them here. ????

***IN RESPONSE TO OWNER: As stated in my original review below - we left a message on your office line that day and also, as stated in my review below, we have been clients with you for 5+ years and our phone number has not changed. Additionally, the ice storm had been predicted for days in advance. Therefore, if your clinic had any professionalism at all, you would have contacted us that day well in advance of our appointment to let us know that you would be closing early instead of just leaving us and our kitten to stand outside in said ice storm. This is clearly a cop out for bad service and total disregard for us and our kitten. You should have called and the very least, checked to see if our kitten still needed to be seen. We will be contacting your new corporate offices about this.***We have been clients of Whole Pet Veterinary for about 5 years or more and had made an appointment scheduled the day before the holiday weekend. We arrived 10 minutes prior to our appointment and noticed 2 women in scrubs walking out the back door, thinking nothing of it. Well, when we got to the door, it was locked, lights were off, the entire office had been closed and everyone had gone home for the day with no one even answering the phones. We never even received so much as a phone call to inform us that they needed to reschedule!We left them a voicemail that day explaining what had happened and have yet to receive a call back, even to simply apologize and inquire how our kitten is doing and if he still needed to be seen. This place has clearly gone downhill and has no regard for their clients or the animals. Our 5 month old kitten was sick and we were left standing in the cold knocking on the door for 10 minutes with the poor little guy in tote. Thank goodness Salem Veterinary Emergency Clinic was able to get us right in later that day.If you love your fur babies, please take them elsewhere, because this place truly does not care.

I consider myself lucky to have found Whole Pet Veterinary Care after my previous long-time veterinarians retired and sold their practice to VCA. Dr DeMarco is a superb diagnostician and provided excellent care (and care coordination) for my medically compromised dog during her final years. I currently take my cat here for yearly checkups. I just cannot recommend Dr DeMarco and staff enough.

I've spent hundreds of dollars here to get my cats neutered and their teeth fixed, and for their shots. I recently called to get my one kitty in because he had an abscess. This place told me that they wouldn't treat my cats anymore because I didn't get my kitties into them in the past couple years for their "wellness" check ups!? 1) There's been a little something going on called "The COVID Pandemic" and I'm an immune-compromised individual. 2) You'll take my money when my fur babies are well, but you won't help me take care of my kitties when they are really sick and need some antibiotics?! Seriously? Skip these people, they only care about taking your money when it's easy, no compassion at all. Shame on you, Whole Pet!

Dr. DeMarco took care of both my dogs before they passed. She's a great listener with humility and compassion. The staff at Whole Pet Vet are polite and responsive. I highly recommend them for veterinary services.

Dr. DeMarco is knowledgeable, compassionate and honest. You can't ask for more in a vet! She's also done acupuncture on 2 of our dogs. Her practice is a positive combination of eastern and western medicine. I highly recommend Whole Pet Veterinary Care!

We currently use this provider for two of our pets. On more than one occasion the reception has been extremely rude and unhelpful. We recently contacted them to bring in our new pet and they refused to see him even though they are our current provider. The tone and treatment was extremely unprofessional and disappointing. We will not be back to this veterinary clinic. Even during hard times there is no reason to be rude to your clients.

Receptionists was very rude. We will no longer be taking our pets here. The level of unprofessionalism was ridiculous. She made it seem like answering the phone was a favor to me and an inconvenience to her.

Dr. Julie Demarco and staff offer loving, thorough and thoughtful care to our pets. They listen to people, do insightful exams and I feel pets get the best local care possible.
