“A leaky valve on a tire had me with a badly worn tire in Salem with 400 more miles to go to get home. At the end if their day the team at Hillyer's found me a tire that would fit on my odd-sized rim, mounted, balanced and on my way within 30 minutes. Can't say how much I appreciate you guys helping me get home.

They’ve always been really kind, and willing to fit me in on very short notice during an “emergency.” They explain what’s going on in accessible terms, and don’t make me feel stupid if I ask questions. They’re happy to do whatever work I have the car in for at the time, and let me know if they notice anything else they recommend fixing and how long they think I have before it’s necessary, without pressuring me into making a decision on the spot. I never feel like I’m being upsold or taken advantage of. Quality work takes time and money, and it doesn’t bother me if I need to wait a few hours or if things take a little longer than expected, especially since this is a popular and convenient location. They’re always quick to order parts and call when they arrive. I’ve never had any concerns about quality of work or parts, and I always feel like they’re being honest and patient with me.”

For context, Kia Service had my car for 2+ weeks and found my car undiagnosable/not able to duplicate symptoms(shuttering when accelerating, gears felt like they werent correctly enganging), still saying that after I test drove and showed them the symptoms, feeding me all sorts of different possibilities for the symptoms but saying there was no way to diagnose without duplication?
I demand my keys back and bring my car here to Payless after speaking with Jason. They diagnose on a single test drive, replace my spark plugs and ignition coils within the hour, and I'm driving out of there before the end of the day, no symptoms whatsoever anymore. Cole and Tony diagnosed the problem swiftly, I got to hang out up front with Holly, the friendliest receptionist ever! Everyone was friendly and patient and just a great establishment. The other patrons couldn't speak highly enough of the work of the mechanics.
I hesitate to say so many good things, as I hope this auto shop stays more of a hidden gem so I don't have to fight for an appointment slot, but they're well deserving of the praise.”
“Top notch service! I had a nail in my tire causing it to go flat. AAA put on spare. When I arrived at the north Salem Les Schwab, I was greeted and checked in promptly. Was told I could wait while it was be fixed-would be around a 90 minute wait. It only took 45 minutes. My spare was put back! Problem solved and it was no charge! Amazing. I am so grateful to trust this location. I will be back when I need new tires! Thank you. Great service”
“It doesn't matter which Les Schwab location I go to, I've always been helped with free flat repairs and one time they even set me up with a free used tire because they couldn't fix my flat. The used tire they put on for me for free was way better than the original one I had on there! From Milwaukee to Salem to West Salem, they're always ready to help!”
