“I've been a "patient" at Hoffman clinic for roughly 7 years now. My dogs have had numerous routine visits and several surgeries under Dr. Shimek. The office experience is nearly always a positive one. And yes, like most vets post-pandemic, they are very busy. People went out and got a pet or started taking more care of what they already had. Hiccups can happen. View the clinic's reputation elsewhere; there are hundreds of positive reviews. Yelp, as is tradition, is the place to complain. You'll find many of the negative reviews are more about the reviewer than their pet.”

“Edit to add: When you read the reviews on this page, please remember that while every single person has a valid experience, 1. a lot of these negative reviews are from people who have just experienced a crisis and are in a heightened state, 2. VCA is NOT an emergency vet and instead directly recommends Wilvet Salem for emergency services, and 3. A lot of us regulars forget to review, but are regulars for a reason.I come here every month and I'm a member of the care plan. I have a senior cat who needs a little extra care, and every single staff member I've talked to here goes above and beyond to make sure she's comfortable and healthy! They're very gentle but efficient, and the care plan is worth it in my opinion - it covers the cost of each wellness check, yearly vaccines, and 1x/yr check-ins like bloodwork, fecal, etc - so the only thing I usually pay separately is just for her actual medication. I won't lie and say it's cheap, but it's definitely not more expensive than similar care in our area, and it's absolutely worthwhile if you need to come in more than a couple times a year.”

“Long story short: Dr. Crane saved our dog, Mamba. I could write paragraph after paragraph of good things about Dr. Crane, Dede, Naomi, and all the staff at WSAC. Truly the kindest, most empathetic and caring people. I highly recommend this clinic for your pets needs. Long story: two weeks before our wedding, our rescue dog (who we'd had less than a year) became incontinent, very sick, and began showing signs of severe kidney failure. WSAC made time for us and tried everything to make our girl feel better. Turns out our 5-6 year old dog was really a super senior and her kidneys were in stage three failure. A few days before our wedding we had to have "the talk" about whether we would have to say good bye to Mamba before the wedding. We were not ready to give up, and Dr. Crane wasn't either. Dr. Crane tested for everything. She suggested treatments (while keeping our wallet in mind) and made recommendations. She would call and check in on days we weren't at her office. It was a really hard time for us and yet it was so much easier feeling like we had a whole team rallying behind our girl, showering her with love and affection every time we walked in. All the office staff knew her name and treated her as if she was their dog. Eventually, Dr. Crane suggested we try a medication that was inexpensive. We weren't sure if it would work but it was worth a shot. And let me tell you, Dr. Crane nailed it. As I type this, our Mamba is barking at the squirrel that dared to enter our yard. She's made a near full recovery. We will have to keep up with treatment, but it's affordable treatment that makes a huge difference in Mamba's quality of life. 100% worth it in my opinion. I don't know how long we have with Mamba, but I know that every day we get is all thanks to Dr. Crane and the staff at WSAC.”

“We've been here with two cats. One with cystitis who couldn't get into my regular vet. It was a wait but it's an emergency room and I was greatful as cystitis can be life threatening in male cats. They had great recommendations for changes to make which have made a difference. A few days ago we watched as a kitten in the road was passed over by a car. Found unchipped with a degloved leg and they fixed her up, did tests to make sure it was safe to bring her into our house with other cats, and other things we didn't think of having not planned on being foster parents until earlier that night. Wonderful experiences!”

“I had a appointment for my 2 dogs for my 2 dogs to get a rabies shot. When I got there the price was different than on the phone but then it was explained to me, 2 exams had to be done. Dr. Danielle Behrends and her assistant were very good. They took care in the examination and talked to my dogs and explained to me what to do afterwards. I'm very pleased and will go back for another rabies shot next yr.”
