Impossible to speak to a human on the phone and they almost never deliver mail on time. Practically useless.

I had two mails to go to Texas! They were not delivered twice on the day they were supposed to!
I was then told by my sister how they have mail sent to NY! Then get there within 3 days!
What’s going on Salem Post office? This is terrible! We should get a refund if you DO NOT MAKE THE DAY YOU SAY YOU WILL DELIVER!
You deserve a -10!

Aaron Supervisor Aaron M does not care if your mail if your mail makes to you or not. Has not taken any action to replace the severely damaged and unsecure group mailbox in our neighborhood after almost 2 years of being damaged.

We receive other people's mail with similar street numbers from different streets on a weekly basis. Packages routinely show up on our door with our neighbor's addresses on them, and no matter how many times or ways I inform them that the letter carrier assigned to our neighborhood screws up, the screwups continue.
Most recently, I ordered something that was shipped USPS with signature required on delivery. The package was supposed to be delivered on a Saturday. Instead of actually delivering the package, they just put a note in our mailbox letting me know that they attempted delivery, but nobody was home... A fact I can refute with camera footage of my front door from the day showing that nobody from USPS came to my door at all.
I immediately went onto their Web site and requested redelivery for that following Monday (why you have to request that they attempt to deliver a package that's addressed to you more than once, I will never understand)... Monday rolls around, and I see the mail truck at my mailbox, but nobody comes to my door with the package... Again.
I try calling the local post office using their local 503 number... It rings for THREE MINUTES and then switches to a busy signal. I tried calling 5 times over the course of the day and got the same thing each time.
I finally gave up on the local post office and called the 1-800 number and sat on hold for about 10 minutes before the system told me I could arrange a callback in "5 to 8 minutes". It took about 4 minutes to arrange the callback because of their frankly Byzantine phone system that made me confirm a bunch of information that it already had on me, including my address, phone number and name, making sure to ask me some (but not all) questions in both English and Spanish. I got a callback about 2 minutes after I hung up, and talked to the most apathetic person I've ever spoken with. She sounded like she'd just been beaten, and was talking to me through a tin can tied to a string.
She informed me that the package was listed as out for redelivery in the system, so it should be there some time that day, and suggested I call back Tuesday if it still hadn't shown up...
I bet you can guess where this is going - the package was NOT delivered. This time, they didn't even bother putting a notice in the mailbox that they tried - so at least they weren't lying to me again...
Tuesday, I call the post office another 3 times, getting the same 3 minutes of ringing followed by a busy signal the first 2 times, and then get through to a person the 3rd time. I was absolutely shocked... I didn't want to waste a bunch of time complaining to this guy. I just wanted to know if my package was going to be delivered that day, or if I needed to drive down and pick it up. The guy put me on hold for about 5 minutes, went to the "shelf in the back" (his words) and found my package sitting back there. He told me to wait until tomorrow and they would "probably" deliver the package. I asked him if I could come pick it up like, right then and he acted like this was a shocking and new idea, but acquiesced.
Fast forward like 10 minutes and I'm in line at the post office waiting for my turn at the counter to ask for my package. There's 3 people working the counter, and I can see more in the back moving around... I was kind of assuming most of their terribleness was due to staffing, but apparently that's not the problem at all. It's that they're really that apathetic and terrible at their jobs.
I really like having an option like the USPS to send and receive mail. I really don't want to lose that option and only have for-profit companies with no sort of legal mandate to actually provide that needed service to everybody in the country, and I remember a time not that long ago when the USPS was held up as a model of efficie

This place has the nastiest employees. I had a package that was supposed to be picked up at the post office. I recieved the email AND text message informing me that I could pick up my package at this address, a legitimate usps communication, and the man sat there and looked at me like I was stupid. And then told me he didn't have it. Didn't bother looking anywhere. Asking for the tracking number or even looking to see where my package might be instead, if not at that location. Nope. Just treated me like a garbage and sent me out the door. Still don't know where my package is.

My experience has not been the best. I requested a new lock and new keys and have payed for this to be done. I understand they are backed up which is fine. What I am not very happy with is that I have filled out 3 times for them to hold my mail so I can pick it up and I did a request online also for mail hold totaling 4 times I work the same hours as them so I use up my lunch time to go pick up my mail and I get told your mail box was fixed go ahead and continue using your key the delivery person already took it… what I have no key I have not been able to have access to my mail since February 8 and it’s now exactly a month so this is why I felt the need to leave a review specially because no one is hearing me out and no one seems bothered about it. I am expecting important documents and with this service I feel like it’s impossible… I also call the direct post office and they never answer so I eventually have drive there for them to tell me we don’t have your mail it’s being delivered. Today I asked to leave earlier from work to pick up my mail am hoping it’s there.

I had some trouble trying to locate my package I contacted corporate and quickly received a call from Nate. He informed me it hadn't arrived at his location yet. He also offered some suggestions for the next place to look. 2 days after my original call I received another phone call from Nate he made me aware it was out for delivery that day! The follow-up call was way above and beyond what I expected. Very thankful for the assistance throughout the process and attention to detail!!!

This far I have been waiting for a package from family 2000 miles away since before Halloween and I was just notified TODAY 11/28 that my packaged was supposedly delivered and then sent and held at the post office upon customer request. Noone requested this. Not me nor any of my family members requested this, and with working out of town during their business hours I haven't recieved a single call back to try to get this delivered again and actually left at my home. I WAS told though that I will need to pay a holding fee which I never requested to be held, once again and I have never recieved a single notification, email nor phone call or slip on my residence that this was being held. And it's taken an entire month to find this out.

Rude front desk staff. Came to ask a question where I can file a claim regarding a package damaged on delivery. I got an answer eventually but she was misleading and rude.
