Fixed my car and did an amazing job. I mean seriously, look at that beautiful paint job. Great staff great, and just such a great place to get your car fixed.

I had a very difficult time with my USAA insurance coverage and my electric vehicle. Mackin's is the only shop I could find that had the required certification, and thank goodness! Their email updates kept me in the loop and made a bad situation so much better. Shoutout to Greg! You are awesome!

Be aware this is not Trachsels any longer. They will find any excuse not to honor lifetime Warranties. This is formerly Trachsels Auto Body purchased about October of 2023. Same building but new owner with questionable standards and ethics. Look at Mackins reply to most recent reviews with excuses. The same staff they refer to are the ones that created the problem of panels not fitting properly and are coming apart. They absolutely refuse to repair the damage they created. Do yourself a favor and save yourself aggravation and additional expense, use any other auto body company in the Salem area that will provide a service to build and retain long term customers.

BE WARNED - the majority of these reviews are from when ithis shop was Trachsel and it has since been bought out by Mackin's auto body. Mackin's Auto Body is the auto body shop people warn you about.
My car was there for over 7 months for a minor repair from a rear end collision. I had to continue to call and go there to try and get my car finished and returned. Numerous times there were mistakes and things that were not completed. One time we arrived at an appointment to pick up the car and the battery was dead. They also left the trunk open and the entire trunk is now filled with mold. (no they did not clean it) Next time we went to pick it up and the hood did not line up or sit flush with the body. Again had to leave without the car.
Today we went to pick it up and were told we had to pay the $500 deductible to Mackin's and to sign over an insurance check to Mackin's auto body, however Mackin's refused to give use the paperwork with the lifetime warranty Mackin's claims to warrenty their work with. They threatened to put a lien on the car if we did not pay. Upon getting the car home we found out one of the head lights that used to move when you turned the car was replaced with a headlight that was cheaper and doesn't move.
Not only were we without a car for over 7 months the work was sloppy and apparently has no warranty. The GM is rude and condescending and has no desire to serve his customers and meet in the middle to make sure the customer is happy or to do that right thing. I tried to call one of the other Mackin's auto body shop's (giving the new Salem Store multiple opportunities to fix things) and the operational manager refused to call me back or help. He said I would have to deal with Salem. At the end of the day this is a very large and expensive mistake. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME mistake. Go to another body shop.

I came here to get a quote for repair for a minor thing on my car, was given a very reasonable price. I came back to order a seatbelt and start the process to get the work done. I was told my seatbelt has been on back order since may. I made one call to Honda and the part got to the shop in a week. The seatbelt was ordered in may, I checked back in September and was told that it is still on back order contacted Honda in early November. The part was mailed by Honda Novemeber 22. No follow up call was made to me to schedule repair so I reached out to them since its been 2 weeks since the part was delivered. Im now being told the estimate for repair has gone up over 5 times what I was originally quoted in may since the estimator just sat on his ass not doing anything about the seatbelt. Additionally when they removed the damaged seatbelt from my car it caused headliner sag that I now also have to fix since they wont take responsibility for it and are referring me to an upholstery shop. Absolute trash. Now i need to hunt for a new shop. They also wont answer their phone now so I can get the seatbelt from them. Do not take your car here.Update to above. Got a call back from the estimator who gave the excuse that he had ordered some clips for the seatbelt, yet Honda had no record of this, and he used that as the excuse why he hadnt contacted me back. He also denied removing the seatbelt but yet Im sure one of the body shop guys or the front desk guy Erik remember me waiting in the waiting room while he had a bodyman come out to remove it in the driveway since they wanted to see if it could be removed or if the headliner really needed to be dropped to replace it like the dealership told me. Of course he conveniently doesnt remember doing that since it ended up causing $1000 more damage to my car. I wanted to speak with someone above him and he said he didnt know how to do that and asked if he could call me back. Called me back while I was on the phone with Honda about 5 minutes later and left a message saying someone will contact me back. BS! This predatory incompetent collision shop has no business being in our community now that the ownership has changed. You will be angry and disappointed if you take your car here. Mackins pffft more like mcripoffs.Second updateOver 24 hours and no call back still regarding my concerns.Seriously it would be a mistake to do business with this company.

So impressed with the professionalism, customer service, and quality of work! My Venza's extensive rear end damage was restored to pristine condition and fully recalibrated with the SUV computer system. Greg (Estimator) provided accurate information and kept me updated at every stage of the process. He went out of his way to be helpful and accommodate my needs. I couldn't be happier.

Had to repair my left bumper. Eric came out assisted me quickly. Gave me a great estimate and was very honesty in what could have been a heftier price tag (thankfully not). Explained the process to me clearly and gave me updates. Furthermore, they were booked until September but I was leaving back to Arizona in two weeks and Eric still got me in. No complaints and great customer service. My car looks better now compared to when I bought it. They did an excellent job and Eric is the man! Highly recommend! My uncle is a big car and also recommended them.
