Went shopping with my husband on Saturday night, we had a shopping cart with about 1000 in home improvement supplies, we left the cart in the plumbing isle near the cash registers to go grab a few more items, and when we returned back to the cart, it was gone. I went to customer service to check with the to see if they had moved it some where and we were told that they had put everything back in the shelve and according to them we had left the cart unattended for about 1/2 hour. It was a total lie, and no employee offered to help. Worst shopping experience ever, no courtesy, no professionalism and the worst part is that the store manager heard us complain about it and he continued to do work on what ever he was doing with out offering any help. Lowes is a better place to shop.

This was completely inappropriate and terrible service. This has completely changed our outlook and opinion of the Home Depot company and this store for how they would treat an elderly customer and handle such an inappropriate situation. My grandmother's experience can quantify elder abuse and elder financial exploitation by neglecting to fully inform her when she called on the date of delivery to dispute her appliance delivery situation that she could decline or refuse the delivery but only within 48 hours is withholding basic service information and unlawful. Additionally, the physical endangerment caused by the delivery people leaving the microwave in the middle of her kitchen floor was beyond unacceptable. The store uses a 3rd party delivery service and none of the 3 delivery individuals spoke English. They were scheduled to deliver and install a microwave for my 84-year-old grandmother. When they couldn't complete the install they did not disclose she could decline the microwave or that she only had 48-hours to do so. They also left the microwave in the middle of the floor in her kitchen obstructing her walkway and endangering her mobility only using hand gestures as they could not properly communicate due to not speaking English and departed. She assumed that they would return and called the store twice and was again NOT advised she could decline or return the microwave only within 48 hours. All of this was relayed to the store and management and no one worked to resolve the issue, nor did they properly follow-up when we called (delivery FRIDAY, family called on her behalf TUESDAY when we found out). We have had to continuously call for more information. Craig, Margaret and Adam at the store (Hagers Grove Rd, Salem, OR) were uncooperative and would not assist in any shape or form as the 3rd party delivery service would not accept the return. The Home Depot store (Hagers Grove Rd, Salem, OR) that we purchased from claims no responsibility. We called HomeDepot.com and spoke to Deandre (rep ID DXB6VNA) and were advised of the same, they cannot control/authorize their OWN 3rd party company that they work with. This has nothing to do with discounted or clearance items, we paid FULL price. The item is STILL in the box and brand new! We have written to the Corporate office, will be filing with the Better Business Bureau and leaving repeated reviews throughout the internet. We have shared this experience with several friends and family and colleagues who have had the same outraged reaction as our family over the situation, and have never encountered this type of service from Home Depot before and are very regular customers.

I went to HD today to get a carpet cleaner I had seen on the website. the website indicated that there were six in stock and listed the aisle number which I thought was very helpful since this store has very few sales associates apparently I have learned from past visits. I found the display model at the aisle specified in the website but the boxes below were caged in with a lock. i went to look for a sales associate and finally found one. he refered me to another sales associate. The sales associate looked around but couldn't find the model I was looking for so she told me she would have to check with someone on the whereabouts of the stock item. she came back and told me to follow her and led me to another part of the store where she showed me boxes of another model which I didn't want. inventory quantities are helpful only if they are accurate and if they can be found. anyhow I shop at HD because it is close but this trip was a complete waste of time.

It would be really cool if your phone system just simply up on customers after 4 or 5 rings. Don't appreciate have to drive 40 miles to see if something is in stock because there is nobody available to answer my call.

Absolutely horrendous customer service and experience at this location, especially from the Store Manager Brian Scott. I returned some extra flooring I purchased and forgot my wallet at the customer service desk. After getting home I realized it left it and went right back to the store to get it. I was told by a manager it was found outside by a customer and turned in and they would go get it. After handing me my wallet I immediately saw all of the cash ($370) was taken out of my wallet and confronted the manager about where my wallet was found. An employee overheard the conversation and came over and said he was the one that found my wallet right after I left and it was at the customer service desk and he immediately handed it to customer service who told him the knew who it belonged to because they had just helped me. The manager said he would file a report with corporate and I would receive a call Monday when loss prevention could look at their camera footage. I didn't hear anything back from them by Monday so on Tuesday I went back to the store and asked for a manager. While waiting for a manager the same girl who helped me at customer service was working and saw me and asked if I was back to get my wallet. I told her I got it but all of my cash was missing out. She said she was the one who sent it back to their vault room and nobody touched anything in it before she sent it back. The store manager Brian Scott arrived at this point and I explained everything going on. He said he wasn't aware of the incident and he would check around with his other managers and give me a call. I asked for some type of incident number or way to follow up and he told me "I don't log every incident that happens in the store or I wouldn't get any work done." Not exactly the kind of response I would expect from a store manager, but it's no wonder someone wouldn't fear stealing from a customer's wallet with that type of poor management. I've now had to file a police report and have local law enforcement request the store video to do their own investigation. I definitely won't be shopping at this Home Depot ever again.

he will get the tool you asked for but with terrible customer service . I rented from this location several times and I can say I avoided like the plague and only come here if I have no other choice, there’s a rude staff, service that takes forever, and they’ll slip fees into your contract if you don’t ask for a receipt every time. Literally go to any other location, avoid the Hangers Grove location.

Learn how to use a computer and use home depot's programs... also get better customer service that doesn't recharge you for a product that you're trying to exchange a new product for because the previous product was damaged upon receivable. plus not telling you that they're going to charge you when they haven't even refunded you yet.
