Roger at Tiger discs is a great guy and loves the sport. I went in to get a couple new discs and learned about several other options I'd not heard of. Tiger Discs offers incentives to purchase and has a great selection of disc golf specific equipment. It's nice to have a shop where players get treated well Regardless of their experience level. I'll definitely be back!

So I decided I needed something to drive me out of the house and away from the couch. For some reason, I've always had an interest in disc golf but never really followed through. Recently, I decided I should just give it a go. Knowing that Tiger Discs was a local and likely independent shop, I went here as soon as they were open today. I looked around at a vast array of discs with all sorts of interesting names and colors. Finally I approached the man behind the counter, who I presume to be the owner...he seemed right at home. I was blunt. Never played before and I had no idea what I was doing. He asked if I wanted a starter set or just an individual disc. I asked him the difference and he explained about how different discs have different edges that perform different on a course, much like standard golf with a driver, an iron, and a putter. He also pointed out that a starter set runs about thirty bucks for three discs and a single disc is anywhere from 18-28 or so. I asked to see the starter sets and he went right to the shelf. He pointed out two sets that cost 40 each and then said, quote, "These are better discs but not what you're looking for right now. This is the thirty dollar entry level set." No upsell tactics here. I picked up one and asked the difference between discs. He started to explain but I couldn't tell the difference. I repeated back what he told me and felt the edges again and then figured I'd see the difference on the course. He took a look at the box again and said, "No, wait, that's the MegaDistance set. You don't want that." And he directed me to the actual entry level starter set. THEN I could see the difference on the edges of the disc. So I picked that, got a stamp card for future purposes, and now have a disc golf starter set. It's somewhat drizzly today but I think I'm going to go try it out anyways. Can't live in Oregon and be afraid to recreate in the weather! Great customer service, pricing is what I expected, if not better (I found other discs that ran 18-25 each, unless used and hard worn, and those at about 8) at ten bucks a new disc. They have carry pouches if I really get into it, and the selection seems really high. Hopefully I've found a new hobby I can really enjoy and, if so, I know where to go for new gear.

This is an amazing store for disc golf it's where I got all of my favorite discs, in fact my first memory that includes disc golf was getting my mid range the wombat.

Nice disc golf shop, really only been in when the owner is in and he is super cool. Check Facebook for updates if they are closed due to being at a tournament or hosting an event. Has a lot of bags, holds lost discs that are turned in.
