I've always liked buying shoes at the shoe mill until today. Once I mentioned I needed shoes that fit my inserts the salesman went into "know it all" mode. The salesman blasted me the ENTIREtime with his info, talked at me, not with me, didn't listen, cut down the $500 inserts a foot doctor had made for me, assumed I didn't have any knowledge ... I could go on!!! I just wanted to have a nice experience shopping for a pair of shoes, instead I left in tears. This guy is either running people away from ever coming back to the store ( like me) or he is bullying and pushing people into having to listen to him and then buying a shoe they really don't want! NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER!

I had the greatest shoe buying experience of my life here today. Mike was an absolute gem and as soon as he saw us, went right to work on finding the perfect insole for me! Even went as far as to give me a pair of wedges for my foots supination issue, which the store does not even sale!He is a shining example of not only customer service but customer care. I will be bringing all of my business here to improve my foot health.Thanks again Mike! I truly appreciate you and will be sharing the word.

I just had the most outstanding customer service from Clancy at the Salem store and will definitely be back!Clancy was extremely personable, patient, knowledgeable, and provide a level of customer care rarely provided these days. I tried on at least 15 pairs of shoes and her enthusiasm and eagerness to help me find a pair that really made me happy, took me to the finish line.I ended up getting my first pair of Hoka's which are incredible and happened to be on sale.If you're looking for a quality shoe store in Salem with genuine customer service, Shoe Mill is it!Thank you, Clancy! I love my new Hoka's! :)

Love this place! Got the only socks that really protect my ankle from high back running shoes. Have gotten great sale prices on expensive boits and shoes. They are knowledgable and dont carry trashy brands. All of their stuff lasts.

Despite quite a large inventory, they didn't have the specific shoe I wanted - its unique and 4 other shoe stores in Woodburn also couldn't help.That said, Kristen at Shoe Mill demonstrated why my friend referred me to that store. First, she suggested Woodburn Outlet Stores as a possible resource, then she gave me the shoe model information and helped me confirm my sizing, so I could order online. I will come back here in the future for this kind of customer service.WELL DONE Kristen!!

employee with the name that starts with (k) karen or kristen. ah her name is kristen, very rude not welcoming at all. made me feel like i can’t afford their products and was very judgmental and acted like she was to good to assist me. definitely won’t be shopping here again with their uptight employees.

I bought a pair of Birks here in May. After wearing them maybe half a dozen times, one of the leather straps started permanently curling skyward. It bugged me. I found the receipt while cleaning out my desk and noticed it said a 1-year guarantee, so I popped in there yesterday to see if I could exchange them. It wasn't a huge issue, I could've lived with it if they'd said no, but like I said... it bugged me! The woman who helped me was SO COURTEOUS! She said "Oh no, we are out of these in your size! [it's now the end of summer and they are sandals....] Let me go check the computers" and left for a few minutes. I'd mentioned how I was fine with black, not brown, and sure enough, she called around to other locations and found a pair they are going to send to the Salem store for me to exchange. This is truly epic customer service in this day and age! I am now a Shoe Mill customer for life. Big kudos to them on being kind, courteous, helpful and professional.

Horrible customer service. Went to try on some Birkenstocks and lady was very rude on the afternoon of May 25th. Went across the sky bridge where they are more respectful and appreciative towards potential customers.

We had a very positive experience shopping today. Both my Mom and myself purchased shoes. My Mom's feet are narrow so she needed to try on multiple pairs. Our sales person was so pleasant and helpful including finding inserts.

Outstanding customer service!My moms took me there to get new kicks for working at the Hospital. I have achilles tendonitis and roughly do 22,000 steps a day. Clancy was I believe the young lady that helped us, she knew what pairs to recommend and went the extra mile to ship a pair in from another location.Nowadays that's above and beyond!!* I apologize if I got the associate's name wrong, if so message and I'll edit review *
