I’ve never in my life had someone ruin my hair so bad. The people who work at Sally’s DO NOT know ANYTHING about hair. Asked some worker who seemed to know what she was talking about because I’ve been having issues with getting my roots how I want them. Gave me a brand I’ve never used and when I mentioned I was cautious about it. Told me “I know best” it completely ruined my entire hair wasn’t even the color I said I needed it. I have been dying my hair for over a decade and have never had this happen to me, And now I’m having to have this absolutely horrendous color WITH PERMANENT HAIR DYE THAT THE EMPLOYEE TOLD ME TO USE because I’ve been using semi permanent and I took her word that it would be better, but jokes on me because it completely ruined and change the color of my hair.After calling the location and speaking with the Assistant Manager about the problem she agreed with me that the employee should not have offered a product I was not familiar with and agreed that the product wasn’t even what I asked for. She told me to come in and speak with them so they can give me a refund and help me fix my hair. I get to the location and the assistant manager and manager were speaking with me, they told me they do not do returns even tho in the return policy is states “If for any reason you are unhappy with your goods, you have the right to return them and receive a full refund.” Told me that it was MY FAULT for not knowing the product I bought was not what I wanted even tho I mentioned multiple times I informed that employee I was not familiar with that product but she INSISTED on the product she was offering me was a better option, it was not remotely what I wanted nor even the right color. After I said no thank you to their offers in helping me find other products to fix my hair. Both managers huddled with another employee to talk about it.I fully understand why people call employees of Sally’s are just beauty school drop outs, they don’t actually know anything about hair, most don’t even do their own hair because they know how uneducated they are. All around a foul experience.

Love this store! The people here are so helpful and knowledgeable. My only problem with it is that they are constantly out of my absolute FAVORITE hair dye, and when they DO get it back in stock there's only one or two bottles on the shelf. Availability is SO bad in fact, that I've decided I need to stock up on it the next time they restock. I have to go back several times to check before they get more in, and the last two times they DID restock, there was only ONE bottle on the shelf and I couldn't stock up. So frustrating to constantly have to go back, wondering IF they will have my color or not. I can't keep a regular schedule on my touchups as a result. I get quite a bit of grow out waiting.

I would not suggest giving your money to the stores here in Salem. They are run by managers and district managers who are childish, immature, and do not respect their employees. They lie to their faces and have no clue how to be a respectful grown-up manager or district manager even.They hire people claiming they want certain environments and act the exact opposite. Please don't talk about teamwork and communication if you cannot walk the walk.It's sad. these people are frauds! If you have to shop at this company, buy from a store from the East Coast or buy online. Have it delivered. But do not spend your money in the store.Especially in the stores here on commercial or center Street. the managers are awful there and the district manager is no much better.they need to do a whole revamping of the district manager and the managers in this cityno wonder the entire staff in North Salem walked outGo to Ulta where you will be RESPECTED

The staff there were extremely rude and short when my fiance came by. They've been going through a lot and the person seemed very judgemental. Sometimes people need to dye their hair to feel better. Anyone knows this. But the girl seemed short and judgemental and didn't give her all the information needed for the product and when asked about it she just seemed annoyed and said she told us. Trash service

Hello, to whom it may concernMy recent experience at Sally’s Beauty had been very unpleasant. On August 1st 2023, 3876 Center St NE, Salem, OR 97301. I went in to purchase a perm. I’ve already bought this specific item from this location before and hold an authorized license to do so. When I walk in I get a perm and the woman working within those hours informs me she will be with me. She continues to hold a conversation with other customers, while I waited so, I opened the top of the box at the check out to read it. The same woman on job then accuses me of stealing and states, “ you can’t open that, you’re stealing” in a very loud manner. I told her I was going to pay, I was reading the instructions on the product. She continues by stating, “I don’t know if you have money on your card.” I told her I had money and cash. She then tells me I need to bring in my license and can’t purchase the product. I told her I’ve bought from there before, she continues to argue with me. I then told her I’d bring my license. I came back to buy the product and show proof. While doing so she tells me she can’t sell the perm to me because I don’t know my building number and the address didn’t matter without the building number. I then ask to get her name and she told me she doesn’t have to give that information out. I ask to speak to a manager and she stated she was the manager. After, I asked to speak to somebody above her and she still insisted that I had an attitude. In conclusion, I asked for the number to customer service for a complaint and she wrote the number down horribly, after I couldn’t read the numbers I asked for the pen to rewrite it. The “manger” yells at me and very adamant about me saying please or else she wouldn’t give me the pen. And she yells at me about not having manners. I ask her continuously for the pen, and she finally gave in. When the “manger” gave in she flicked the pen at me. And I let her know she was being very rude and made me feel uncomfortable. She walked away and let me leave without purchasing the product. After I sent a nail tech inside and the woman sold the perm to her, although she doesn’t do hair or hold a license to do so. I would like this woman to be fired or on leave for not serving customer service or trying to find a solution to the misunderstanding of my recent experience.

I was in here on 3/9/22 for Ardell eyelash sale. They were sold out of almost all their eyelashes with hardly anything to choose from. They told me that day that they had received a shipment but hadn’t unpacked it yet. 2 days later (today) I visited expecting them to have unpacked their freight by then since they were having the sale…..but no, they still have not unpacked their freight and still a barren wall where their eyelashes should be. These sales come around only so often and it would be nice to actually be able to buy the sale items. The sale ends on the 13th. Sale items such as this should be amongst the first to be unpacked. Why is it taking so long? On both visits they had several staff there who preferred to stare at me and follow me around (to make sure I’m not shoplifting I assume) instead of getting busy and unpacking the sale items that STILL are sitting in the back. Also, on the first visit they told me they had received more lashes, but just hadn’t unpacked them. This is how I know. Are they trying to keep people from purchasing the sale items? This does not make me want to come back, and I have been a faithful shopper here for years and I have spent many hundreds of dollars in the store. I am not happy.

No orange sticks unless you wanted to buy 200 of them in a bag.The young lady couldn't answer any of6 questions or attempt to find the answers....just "i don't know"The other young lady who checked me out didn't even say thank you...very disappointed the first timeIn 45 years i have ever had a bad experience.

I went into the store looking for keneliklon hair and the girl looked at me and corrected me saying what hair oh for braids we don't have that and neither do the other stores before even checking I asked her where else I could get it and she just looked at me like I was d*** I just feel like your employees at a hair supply store should know hair products and not make me feel like I'm d*** when I actually know correct terms.

I stopped by Sally Beauty to return a Failure to Dispense item that I used once and then couldn't get to Dispense again.As soon as I entered the store I heard a voice ask me, "Can I help you?"Almost before I completed explaining my problem, I heard, "Would you like a refund or a replacement?"Of course, I wanted to replace it, cuz, I think the product is fantastic! Following (what was turning out to be the best Customer Service Person ever) to the ION Thickening Mousse Shelf, I was in luck because they actually had one in stock. While in that section, I glanced and right there on the shelf closest to the floor, well almost closest, was the product I have been on a waiting list for months now! (Allegedly it was out of stock in stores and online,)However, just sitting there not out of stock, several, many, a whole bunch, there were just a lot of them, so I got a couple! (It wouldn't be right for me to buy them all.)I was very excited! right there almost in a line was everything I wanted!Then mentioning, I needed some gloves and ION Sensitive 40 Developer. I also asked her where the LIGHTENER could be found and she stuck with me until I had every item I could possibly remember I wanted and then escorted me straight to check me out.When I got home my Mousse had a Failure to Dispense problem so I get to go back and I'm not sad about that at all, not sad one bit.
