Very straightforward pleasant experience. Needed my truck fixed in a day, Cory and Doug said they could do it and they did it. I would definitely use their shop again and do recommend their business to others

"Stay away from Realtech auto repair"
Worst experience and communication ever. I took my car in a week ago and thought I had a warranty for my vehicle so they could work on it. They never told me my warranty was expired and they never called me to tell me either. I actually had to call them 4 days later because they never reached out to me. When I called they said they were still working on it but never mentioned they would work on my vehicle without my concent and finally called me two days after I had called them saying my warranty was expired and charged me over $400 for 4 spark plugs when I didn't authorize them to work on my car without warranty. Lack of communication on their end and the crazy unauthorized work performed threw me way off. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. If you want a non sketch company that will be upfront and not charge you without your approval of work to be done, then stay away. They might post some lies after I post this but it's all a way to keep a good name for themselves but if you read other posts, you can see how this place is sketch and how the owner tries to sugar coat their mistakes. Stay away please, if you don't want to break your bank and have bad people work on your car.
Updated 8/5/24 after owner response:
Nice try, as seen in most cases when you guys get a one star, you always try to sugar coat your mistakes. You failed to mention that if you were to take out the spark plugs, you would have still charged me over $250 and I would be left stranded with a car that had no plugs to get on the road. Really shady business you have there. Don't listen to these guys and their lies. I will spread the word to all of Salem/Keizer to stay away from getting robbed from realtech auto. People work hard for their money and should never become victims to your scams.

I cannot begin to express the awesomeness of their customer service! We were broke down and stranded and they fit us in on a really tight schedule on their Friday and sent us on our way. Very clean shop and highly professional! I highly recommend this shop!

We had a great experience when we took our Kia Soul to Real Tech! They answered all our questions, explained what happened and how they fixed it. Wonderful job!

Had my vehicle towed here and they diagnosed it for about $400. I had them address the problem and they bought the parts to fix it, totaling about $1400. After a month of waiting, they told me it still wouldn’t work and they couldn’t fix it. They told me I now needed to pay the $1400 to get my car back which still didn’t run. Avoid this scam establishment at all costs.
EDIT: They try to reply to your bad reviews calling them out for taking your money and not fixing your car in the end. $1400 later and car still isn’t fixed, and they try to claim they told you it wouldn’t fix it but you just wanted to throw money away for fun. Their reply contradicts their diagnostic they gave. The RO states the car had no spark and needed a fuse box. We pulled a plug before taking it in and it did in fact have spark. The car also doesn’t have 300k like they claim. The RO also states 2 cylinders had low compression and they wanted to replace the engine. This is all after it drove perfectly fine to work then decided not to start when leaving work the same day. So the car magically lost all compression to even run (which would have to be an astronomical amount considering I’ve even driven another car with two cylinders down and a stuck valve for a month straight), while simultaneously losing spark (which is unrelated to compression), all while sitting for 8 hours in a parking lot. Now their reply to my initial review is claiming they did in fact fix the spark issue (which again it already had spark when we brought it in), and it was not 2 cylinders but actually all 4 cylinders with low compression. Seems like they can’t get their story straight. Caught red handed taking advantage of a girl by making up problems that needed to be fixed just as a money grab for labor costs. They have been reported to the BBB. Avoid this place at all costs.

Getting a car repaired is a scary process and takes a lot of trust. This is something Real Tech puts value in building in my experience. This was not a seamless repair, I came in with a 2014 Touareg TDI, a difficult car, but the repairs eventually got done and the owner Doug was willing to work things out fairly till the end.
Their pricing seems right, staff is friendly and responsive if you give them a call. They also just hired a few new master level euro techs at the time of this review and they have been a shining light for the company as well.
3 year Warrenty, and a willingness to do the right thing turned a rough time consuming and difficult repair into an okay experience in the end.
Assuming all the repairs continue to hold I can recommend Real Tech to anyone needing a fair fix!

I dropped my truck off for its appointment to look at the transmission/power issue on Monday morning when they opened. All day Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday with no word. So I call on Wednesday at 4PM to see if they made any progress. The guy told me that they couldn’t get the truck started after starting and pulling it into the repair bay the previous evening and were running diagnostics to see what the issue was. He also informed me that he would be charging me for these diagnostics. Keep in mind the truck started and ran fine when I dropped it off on Monday. I told them to not do anything more and that I would fix the starting issue. I paid them $154 because they refused to release the truck without me paying them for their diagnostics. By the way, after 90 minutes of time spent they still had no diagnosis for the problem. After having the truck towed home, I was able to diagnose the problem with a simple 12v circuit checker tool in about a grand total of 10 minutes. All said and done, they broke my truck and then charged me for diagnostics for a problem that happened while they had the truck, with no diagnosis at the end. Shops should never charge for diagnostics unless there is a diagnosis after 90 minutes of time. Don’t bring any vehicle here, they will rip you off. Bellow is their “diagnosis.” I should add that this diagnosis is incomplete and wrong. You may ask “what do you pay for?” And my answer is “I am still not sure.”
I am reposting this review as it was somehow removed from their reviews. I will keep reposting if this review continues to be removed.

Poor quality work, overpriced and very slow. Incompetent diesel mechanics, high turnover rate caused over a month of delay. I had to rent another vehicle waiting for parts and techs. They replaced computer which has nothing to with original problem. They wanted to spend more time and replace mo re parts, but by then I had figured out that they were incompetent and not even following diagnostic flow chart. Had
it towed to a diesel shop who fixed it in one day. Customer service was poor, lost thousands on shoddy work

Bad techs, even worse customer service. These guys broke my dip stick tube off my vehicle and didn’t even offer to try and fix it… they literally zip tied it back on. I also get spammed with text messages at 5AM quite regularly, save yourself the frustration and go somewhere else.
In response to the owner below; my transmission dip stick tube was not broken when I went into the shop. My entire appointment, both gentleman working the computers upfront were talking about how incompetent the techs were, then one walked in with tube in hand.

AVOID THIS MECHANIC AT ALL COSTS. We had our company diesel truck towed to this shop to address what was diagnosed by himself as an injector issue. After paying thousands for the supposed fix and months of waiting, the truck immediately broke down again upon retrieval.
We proceeded to call Doug, the owner and he stated that he will resolve the issue and cover the tow costs. He then expected further payment to address the ORIGINAL issue, despite having already paid thousands for the repair. Furthermore, when picking up the truck he demands that we cover the towing bill, After initially agreeing to cover it himself.
Please save yourself and take your vehicles elsewhere.

I just have had two bad experiences in a row here with over charging me. First time they fixed it after I discovered the overcharge. The second time I just came in to get oil change and tire rotation and it was $230! No one told me their labor rates increased or even a quote when I dropped it off, the front staff was too busy to talk with me and just had me fill out form and drop key. I really wanted to like this shop, but $230 for oil and tire rotation is just ridiculous so moral the story be sure to get a quote! And of course, I dropped off my car at 8 am for a 10 am appointment and they had it until 5 both times and didn't appear to work on it until 4 pm when I called for a status update before the weekend.
Maybe I'm just more upset at the lack of communication from the get-go and no quote, so moral of the story, just get a quote from this place.
