I've been coming to this location since it opened, and have always thought it's a nice place to get what I needed.
I've noticed over the last year, the accumulation of the homeless/transient population hanging around the front of the store and/or digging through garbage, playing loud music, asking me every time I visit for handouts, money, cigarettes, etc.
This is not appropriate for a place of business, and I and others avoid coming here for this reason. I wish something could be done about these folks hanging around this Plaid Pantry. I'm just tired of being ambushed every time I visit this Plaid Pantry.

Same kids working there same problems. The two I’ve called about before told an elderly women tonight who was there for much longer that me they would get to helping her in a bit. Neither doing anything. Sad.

I walk here a lot with friends. It's a very clean and nice store and nothing is ever out of stock. Employees really take care of it and that's good. The staff are very nice and it is by a gas station.

Close, convenient, helpful/friendly employees, average pricing for store items, occasional spikes in people just hanging around the parking lot (usually not causing any disruptions)

I am not a regular at this store but the scantily dressed girl inside running the register was flirting with a guy and saying some very inappropriate things. I had my five year old daughter with me when I went inside to pay for my gas and buy her some snacks. I probably will never stop here again as I was just passing thru but I used to work at a plaid pantry 20 years ago and that kind of conduct wouldn't fly back then.

So today around march 28 around 3:30 PM myself and my kid went to this plaid pantry on Wallace in West Salem I got what I needed is at the front of the register. I pulled out my ID he can't scan it. This person has seen me in the store multiple times and always cause problems. The gentleman in the store starts cussing me out and telling me I need to turn over my fucking ID and I told him that who are you talking to and he's telling me that I'm giving him attitude and I'm being aggressive, which I never even said one word to him the other customers right behind me defending me, I went to the manager and filed a complaint against the male cashier, which other customers went to the manager and felt the same complaint I called over to plaid pantry, corporate office in Portland to let them know what was going on that this male white cashier has always gave me problems and today was the last straw The male cashier was trying to deny me service for something that I didn't even do or say, I was racially profiled once again The district manager that oversees all eight plaid pantry stores her name is autumn she called over to the store, asking what happened I believe that they're going to sweep this under the rug that that man that male Karen is going to be causing me problems. I will not tolerate being discriminated, because of my skin color they male Karen needs to be fired If this is not handled within 24 hours or into a week, I will be calling my lawyer and suing plaid pantry for racial discrimination

Shockingly messy store interior. Coffee station had some empty machines and the counters were neglected. Service was okay but barely acknowledged. Needs a lot of work. The outside grounds are nice and clean though.

I wish I could give zero stars. This store continually commits a federal offense every time they scan the back of someone license. The bar code on the back of your license contains more information than what’s just on the front. It is a data collections scam and it is illegal. People don’t know any better so it continues to happen. Furthermore, the attendant was a jerk and was in the back gossiping for three minutes before she could be bothered to help me then proceeded to be rude and disrespectful.
