Terrible customer service, every time I walk in there are multiple employees huddled together having personal conversations and they don't acknowledge customers as they walk in. The groomer is also rude and usually has an attitude problem. She will destroy your dogs coat as she doesn't seem to have the knowledge needed to care for different types of coats/undercoats. A family member of mine also stopped taking their dog here for grooming after witnessing a groomer strike a dog that wasn't cooperating as the groomer wanted it to. Unfortunately this store is one of very few in West Salem.Follow Up: After viewing the response from the owner to my original review above, I want to ensure I have the right store. How could I not when they're the only Pet Etc. in West Salem on Edgewater? The owner's responses to 1 star reviews is amusing. I hope for the future of this business that the service has improved, I've avoided shopping at this store after Mudd Bay opened in West Salem and I haven't taken my dog to their groomer since my last negative experience when I dealt with her passive aggressive attitude problem. Also, if the groomer is so experienced and good at her job, she should know you don't shave a dog breed with a thick undercoat as it destroys the animal's coat forever more. Thanks.

Friendly staff, I wanted to try CBD on my picky cat ,he flat out refused it ,wouldn’t touch anything around it when I tried to crumble it ,she let me take the sack back for a full refund, that’s a class act! !

Love this place! They have all the specialized food, treats, toys, and CBD products for my dog. They also offer grooming but I haven't utilized that service. The staff is great and you get a discount on a bag of food after you buy a few bags. Very clean and the shop kitty is sweet and friendly too.

I love this place!! Best prices for nail trim and crickets (and their crickets don't die as soon as you get home) and best food selection and they are a local business. I love to support our local businesses!!

Great service. I did the self serve dog wash, they were so nice. They showed me where everything was. They even provided ear cleaning, teeth brushing, and nail clipping supplies. Great place to wash your dog! I highly recommend it.

We are in Salem from Oregon City to have our dog spay and stopped in to get an inflatable e collar. They couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. Thank you so much. Prices were great too.

I want to love this place because it’s convenient and the staff is so nice but the last visit was my final straw. The last three times we’ve gone have been a mess, and the time right before those three times, they told us to go to Claws n paws because they didn’t have openings for weeks because they don’t have the staff. I feel badly because they’re overworked from the lack of staff but in the midst of being overworked, they shaved my dog too closely and broke skin. The fact that they knew and didn’t tell me is upsetting, or if they didn’t know they did it, that’s even more upsetting.

Great local pet supply store in West Salem. This is our favorite pet store. They have everything you need, plus their own in-house cat. They are always friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!
