Helpful but not really ... They said they couldn't help us for a small board, wanted to send us to Emerson hardwood in Portland. Bargain yard in ne Salem would have been a much better suggestion surprised they didn't say so. Sorta bummed after a real long drive from Lincoln city...Controlled opposition... and of course a guy in a red shirt with a ? mask on giving us the slanted eye shows up to crowd the front area that had a list of 33 moulding markings exactly where we were talking. Staged indeed.

Was up in the Salem area from CO following the passing of my mother, and looked up Northwest Millwork online. My dad (91) and I are both woodworkers and needed to have some lumber thickness planed to make several cremains boxes for mom's ashes. Paul took care of us, had the wood milled in under 5 min as we waited, and then hit us with the bill. Zilch. Zip. Nada. No charge. He expressed his sincere condolences for our loss and sent us on our way.It is beyond uplifting to do business with a place like Northwest Millwork, who places respect, decency, and common courtesy above the almighty buck, and just plain does the right thing. I wish more businesses were like this. Awesome experience.
