"Extremely slow - 20 mins to make payment" "15 mins for a check"These statements are true to my experience with this bank over the last 6 months. There has been a steady decline in service here. Familiar faces have all disappeared. I've received incorrect deposit slips & ridiculously long wait times. How long will Key Bank allow this subpar service?

I hear these people write about these bad experiences, but I have been there for over two years. It's been great. The are always friendly to me and know about me. If they can not do what I want they try to find something they can do to help!!

I’ve been a KeyBank customer since 2009. I made an appointment with Ryan Swenson on October 30th to accept a car refinance offer that was emailed to me. I went in, signed papers and we started the process. On November 13th I met with Ryan Swenson again to sign one last document. He let me know that everything should be finalized by the 16th or 17th. I emailed Ryan on the 18th at 10 am to get an update. I received a call back on the 19th at 9 am. Ryan stated that there were notes from his finance team and he seemed to be reading them for the first time with me on the phone. He stated something along the lines of ‘tried to call OCCU but the hold time was too long, requesting customer call to get the payoff amount’. Ryan stated that normally isn’t their policy. I asked Ryan to give me the number of the finance team, so I could call them to let them know I wasn’t going to do their job. Ryan said he had time that morning and would take care of it for me. I got an updated email from Ryan at 10:28 saying he was able to reach OCCU and was successful. Completed in 1.5 hours! I went back in to the bank to sign final documents November 23rd. I met with Ryan Mosgrove, the Assistant Vice President Branch Manager. I was looking forward to speaking to him about my experience. When I got there the loan documents weren’t correct. The loan amount was more than I requested. I asked him to correct it and he stated that would delay things even more, he wanted to submit the incorrect loan amount and said they would just deposit the extra money into my account. He wasn’t concerned about the extra interest I would have to pay, along with a higher payment due to this mistake. I declined and said I want it corrected. I then made another trip back to the bank, once the documents were corrected. I tried to have a discussion with Ryan Mosgrove about how frustrating this situation has been and he looked at me with a blank stare... At no point did I feel like Ryan heard me or was listening, I felt completely disrespected! After banking here for so long, I will be closing my accounts with KeyBank. I don’t trust them, and don’t appreciate being treated like garbage!

Wish I could give negative stars. This bank was the WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY ENTIRE LIFE!!! Bank manager is very unprofessional and insulting! The worst part is... I have been swindled out of $7,200.00 from my checking and they have NO INTENTION of providing me any relief!!! First time I have ever decided to seek the courts opinion for what is an outrage. STAY AWAY!!!

This branch of Key Bank has a VERY unprofessional manager. Likes to insult me on more than one occasion. If I could give less than 1 star, I would. I recommend ANY other bank (or at least branch). They also ripped me off of the "Come bank with us promo". NEVER got my $300 for a new account. I honestly have to say that this branch of Key Bank is abhorrent and just plain "nasty".

Now I know why they get low ratings. This place took more than two months on a HELOC and cannot seem to get their paperwork in order. Still haven't completed it. I've spoke to the Manager at Commercial branch that I might go with some one else because of them not doing their job.

Really poor experience with this bank. I went in 2 months ago to open a checking account with the $300 incentive. I'm not good with this stuff so I sat down with an associate to make sure I did everything right. He explained I needed to make a $500 direct deposit each month to get the incentive and avoid paying a fee. I changed my direct deposit at work to deposit $250 per pay period. After 2 months I still haven't received the incentive. When I called about it I was told it should have been a one time deposit of $500 so I did not qualify for the incentive. I went into the branch and the man working completely wrote me off, I said I would be closing the account because I'm disappointed with the situation and he shrugged. When I withdrew my money they were going to charge me $8 for a cashier's check. Keybank wasted a ton of my time and only made an effort to take money from me. They obviously don't care about keeping customers.

If I could give a zero I would. The worst experience I have ever had with a bank! Debit transactions pend for 2-4 days even though they should go through immediately. I bought something on amazon 2 WEEKS AGO and the charge just went through today. It also went through 2 weeks ago but for some reason the money was returned to my account so amazon had to take it again. I can't believe I decided to trust my money with this bank. I have paid more in overdraft fees than I did on gas in my car this month. I always make sure that I have enough money in my account to cover the transactions I have pending but some how my account always overdrafts. Last week they took $60 from my account saying they never got my opening fee even though I have proof that they did but no one can tell me why they won't give me the $60 back. Extremely unprofessional. They say you have until 7 pm the day of the overdraft to fix your account to avoid the over draft fee but that is a lie. As soon as I get paid I will be removing all of my money and closing my account. This has been the most stressful month of my life. I would not recommend even my worst enemy to use this bank.

Great bank, friendly tellers, many locations! Plus someone recently told me it's a credit union too?!? Not sure, but it's better than many big banks out there! Love the service AND great hours too. Always friendly and helpful. Low overdraft fees. Plenty of drive thru ATMs which is a plus for the wheelchair bound.
