Prices on items here are consistently higher then they are brand new.

I’m pretty sure the Salem goodwills are the only ones left in the country that didn’t open their fitting rooms. That plus the horrible return policy is not a winning combo for buying any type of clothing unless you’re 100% positive it’s going to fit.

We needed something for school and they had it. And for do much less than if we went to a fabric store.

West Salem Goodwill has a great selection but does not have open fitting rooms. Miguel said they had too much theft.

The manager, Miguel, said they are removing the fitting rooms because there is too much theft. They can’t measure the thousands of dollars of lost revenue because normal clothes shoppers want to try them on, but for people who can’t afford $8 jeans, they’ll keep them from stealing them, even though the cost of good is the price to put a tag on it and hang it on the rack.

I thrift here less and less since you can’t use the changing rooms. I buy a fraction of the items I normally would purchase because I can’t ensure what will fit (especially jeans). Please open the changing rooms!!

Typically I love this store. However, they are trying to sell broken sprayer bottles of Mrs Meyers for MORE than they are at Target. They have these for 4.99, and targets website is 4.79. I tried to bring it to the managers attention, who at first was willing to go down. She said they usually price target products for 1/2 the price. When I went back in to purchase them later hoping she had marked them down, she told me they were $12.99 online. I showed her my app and said they actually are not…she became rude and refused to do what she originally told me she would do. It’s not about the money, it’s the fact that a manager said she would do something and then became combative and didn’t do it. I was trying to help because idk who’s gonna buy broken Mrs Meyers for MORE than they are at Target. Insane

It's a good store just the cashiers need to be more kind with buyers

Bought some bottles of the Mrs. Meyers mentioned in the other review. Didn’t know they were broken. But they were only $2.99 when I bought them. One leaked all over my other purchases before I even left the parking lot. Pretty sure the person who took our receipt to give us furniture never gave it back. There’s only so many places to look when you haven’t even left. The cashier was super lovely and apologetic. Clearly wasn’t her fault since they’re broken bottles. The manager refused to refund me for the broken bottle, ruined jacket, and two ruined books. I gave up looking because my baby was crying and it just wasn’t worth the fight I guess. Pretty garbage experience.

Always reliable for second hand clothing, with occasional treasures.

Friendly staff and nice location. I always have a hard time finding winter clothes but I was easily able to find a bunch of winter wear for both myself and my kids. Highly recommend this location. Prices are good
