Very Toxic Environment On hire they make the company look good and speak of a caring compassionate company. However, after a few weeks the realizations kicks in that this is a very poor company. This company does not support their workers and have very poor integrity. There is no compassion or caring for either employees or patients. There main concern is profit! Management is very poor, have no integrity, comrade or morals. This is the worse company I have worked for. If you are looking for a decent place to work this is not the company. Overall, this is by the worse company I have worked for! I have learned that to take my time in picking a job. Listen to the negative reviews about this company, they speak the truth.

You were not a help you were part of the problem. You dropped my mother like a hot potato before barely getting started. She had no pt ot and speech therapy For two weeks after getting out of the hospital. The only person that came was the speech therapist and she declined rapidly. Now my understanding is that you are in home care therapy temporarily until people can get up walking again. So she was walking two weeks ago even after her stroke. And you don't care for people like that? That's a bunch of BS... And I don't want you in my home or near my mother. How fr##king pathetic. You didn't want to work with me trying to take care of my mother at home and didn't even try. It's partially your fault for her decline. Your RN changed dates twice... No pt even after order was signed and no ot even scheduled you guys are part of the problem with the health care system in our country! Might as well live in Russia.

They promised me to be there on a regular basis and said no problem we will have everything ready for her and scheduled when she gets out of the hospital and they just dropped her as a client saying she needs to much work so be on guard if you use them. I waited two weeks to get someone in part of it was her primary care office not signing orders and the other was salem health hospital not signing orders. But I kept getting told from first call their would be an RN out Tuesday the first week then it was Thursday the 2nd week and I called on call nurse to see if we could get a nurse out sooner and she said we would try to be out Tuesday. They don't even call me to tell me they can't do anything til Thursday. The pt was supposed to be out before the 2nd week and Ot was supposed to be on schedule and never was. I would never trust them again. Don't trust them with your loved ones they will drop them and you will have to do everything on your own like I did. The only person that came out was the speech therapist.

What is written on their website "The primary goal of both Home Health Care and In-home Care is to help our clients stay at home for as long as possible while maintaining quality of life" is the opposite of what they are telling my parents who are currently clients. They keep telling my mom they are not to be used for maintenance. They can only be used for short term to make improvements. My dad has Parkinson's disease. The objective is to prevent a decline in his condition. I think that would be considered "maintaining quality of life". The doctor referred him for home health and they were matched with this company. Yet the man from the company told my parents they do not do maintenance, only improvement. It seems to say the opposite of what their website says. Perhaps they need to review their website and change their philosophy if their practices have changed. Overall the therapists who have come to the home have been fabulous it's just the battle of trying to get services to " maintain quality of life" that has been a horrible struggle.

My partner needs home health due to changes in medical condition. We declined first call due to their treatment of a senior (85yo) smoking and not washing up. First call then calls our home begging for us to allow them to be our home health agency partner again declines and says we're staying with our agency. Then first call has the audacity to send someone to our home. I know the agency has gone downhill but stalking potential clients... Do better!!!

They fire employees without cause. The CEO is extremely controlling to where he controls whether or not the doors can be open, to what the employees have to look like, or how loud their laugh can be. The employees are miserable and constantly on edge afraid to be fired. No communication whatsoever. They also told my friend that she got the position as scheduler and she turned down other positions and than they never called her back and I had to tell her that she didn’t get it. Do not apply here! Run!!!!

I first reached out to First Call while I was having issues with another agency. Jessica helped me until the situation was resolved. This was what prompted me to use First Call. I had an intake with Anthony and he was just a blast. So caring and funny. Then the caregiver came out. She was very caring, sweet and personable; providing perfectly fine care. However, she had major issues with personal boundaries. I attempted several times to address the situation directly with the caretaker, to no avail. So I reached out to Jessica. She immediately removed the caregiver from my home and worked with me to find a suitable resolution to the problem. All the while being extremely courteous of my feelings regarding the situation.

First call jumped into help my Dad but never once reported back to me POA what they accomplished or what the plan was. No objectives shared, no consultation with family for best results. Weak at best communications and nobody took charge or responsibliliy. Big money generator using our most vunerable.

Very unprofessional and awful company. I don’t recommend anyone working for this company at all. The management and staff do not communicate to caregivers and leave them in the dark about most things. They do not follow through with anything they say they will.

Not a good company to work for…the manager does not show the caregivers any respect and does not know how to speak to people. I can’t imagine how the office staff tolerate it but kudos to you guys for dealing with that negative energy on a constant basis. I would not recommend my worst enemy to work for this company. They accept anyone as a client. Not saying that everyone doesn’t need care but maybe the manger should go out to some of these home to see where they’re sending us. Clients are rude and send you home without even speaking to you. Vicious animals, flees in the home, garbage everywhere, we are told we’re there for the clients only but the family member have you working for them as well. Clients who smoke they say the home doesn’t smell like it but it actually reeks. A good example of you are always replaceable, trying to express your concerns to the manager and she doesn’t even care what you have to say just pulls you for the clients calendar without addressing the situation. You are still sending someone else out there who is going to have the same concerns. Also she’s tired of hearing you’re complaints your out the door. This might be an amazing company but I am very disappointed in how I was treated.

I do not recommend First Call Home Health Care. The caregiver was asleep instead of caring for my mother in law. She was not attended to at all and we do not need that type of care when she is on her last days. It was unacceptable. Do not hire them. The office staff did not seem concerned about losing the job and did not try to apologize for their employee not doing their job.

Great professional staff, committed to complete recovery post hip replacement. I can't emphasize enough how great they have been in managing my physical therapy and referrals to excellent doctors and therapists. I would give the highest of recommendations for anyone needing post surgical or any in home care to use their services without the slightest hesitation.
