I doubt the person that sold me my glasses had been doing it very long. He was nervous, threw numbers around, tried to uoselk me thru the entire time. At the register the price went from 55 to 80. He measured for bifocals on a piece of tape across the frame, crooked line, struggled with the pupil reader. If I can see with these when they come in it will be a miracle.

Reminds me of the DMV take a number and wait. Calling the number then before you can get there they are on to two numbers ahead.

Probably the WORST experiences that I have had at a tire store in my life. We had been buying our tires at Costco in Salem. I am sorry to say that the customer service that we received was terrible. On top of that, we had a tire that was supposed to be replaced under warranty due to side wall damage. We picked up the car and I did not notice it until a few weeks later that the SAME tire with a cut in the side wall was STILL on the car. We paid the pro-rated difference on the tire as well. Unbelievable. We were so busy dealing with things going on in our lives (my wife on chemotherapy) that I never went back and confronted them. My experience with their staff is that they acted like they were doing customers a favor by them being there. No smiles. They acted like me and others in the waiting area were invisible. We were just ignored. Then, when we needed help, they acted like we were taking advantage of the warranty. Oh well.... We're NEVER going back to Costco. Oh yeah. If you want a tire store that has AMAZING customer service and great prices, go to Discount Tire on Lancaster. I guarantee you that when you walk in the door that you will see what I mean. They're AWESOME!

I went in with broken frames and the woman who was working was so helpful! She not only put a new screw in, she put new pads and got them all tightened up for me with no charge. I was so grateful for her and the time she spent helping me see again!

Every time one of my doctors calls in a new prescription, it seems they have to order it and it takes a day or day and a half to get the medicine in. It is very frustrating as I switched to this pharmacy to save time. It doesn't seem to be happening with new prescriptions. This has happened to the last 2 or 3. I now have a local infection in my ear and am 3 weeks out from a full knee replacement. This is not ok to have to wait over a day for the medication. I thought pharmacies carried most medications.

My significant other and I went to grab a few things last weekend and it was a nightmare. I have never felt so harassed at a Costco. They checked our cards (both have a membership, same account) 6 freaking times! 1. When we arrived (normal) 2. When we got in line to checkout 3. When we got closer to the self check out. 4. At the self check out itself (normal) 5. By the self check out attendant person. 6. By the people at the door checking receipts. And then had our receipt checked twice for a total of 8 items that were under $100. The employees give zero customer service. After having a membership for 20 plus years I am now contemplating not renewing next year.

If you thought Airport checkins and TSA is a pain, try Salem Costco! Costco used to the place to shop, respectful and happy employees. Not any more. Card is checked 3 times at least and then receipt verified twice. Disrespectful, condescending and a waste of customer and employee time. Costco Salem is no longer customer friendly; rude is a better term to describe it. Will take my business and personal shopping elsewhere. No value can replace respect. If this is corporate direction, then there is only one direction Costco is headed!

Kris at the front desk was very helpful , sent me to go speak with the eye Dr staff to see what we could come up with , and they were able to get me in right away due to a cancellation ! So I was very happy with that .Received an rx for contacts and glasses and was able to get a weeks worth of contacts in under an hour . Absolutely loved my experience here !

I went with my mom is look for new glasses for her. We weren’t set on buying today and let the employees know so they didn’t feel like they had to come up to us and help right away. Reyna was still very helpful, and even though it was busy, she would come up and suggest pairs that were similar to what we were describing and grabbing if she had a moment between the people she was helping. Her customer service was excellent: always friendly, not pushy, and enjoyable to work with.

This place is getting worse and worse all the time. I've seen it for the last 8 months how employees are just flat rude and disrespectful. It's certainly not the Costco that I've grown to love. Now the latest is there's no more gas station attendants. It's all self-serve and what a cluster. There's literally total chaos and it takes an hour to get fuel now. I will never buy fuel there again and I hope this hurts their bottom line all the way around. Their CEO needs to regroup on what their core values are because it doesn't really seem like they care about the members anymore.

I understand that the State of Oregon is now allowing us to pump our own gas, but to just stop staffing your gas stations without advance notice, and I mean 30-45 days notice, is very disappointing. Your Costco card scanners on the pump are not operational and no instruction is present to show where to scan your card or how to orient it to be read correctly. And if I am doing the work that your staff used to do, then I expect to pay less at your pumps. You need to do better!

AVOID THIS LOCATION!! If possible, I would leave a zero star comment, but will leave a 1 star for the nice young man who let us know that the manger we interacted with was Bryan, Holman. I had a Costco membership for over 20 years, but with only 2 of us now it hasn't made sense. Until we needed to spend $1500+ on tires, so we stopped at the Tigard location and a very nice employee in the tire center gave us a quote, he didn't have them in stock and since we live closer to Salem, we went there to determine if we wanted to purchase a membership. Costco used to allow you to go in without a membership to look around, not purchase anything, and evaluate to make a decision. We explained when we entered the store that we were considering membership and just wanted to look around, she said OK and we entered the store. We did not have a basket. We were not holding any items. We were looking around and making a list to see if it would be worth it to us to pay the $60 to join. Side note, the last time I was in a Costco, I was picking up a prescription, and you can enter for that purpose, interesting. Back to our visit yesterday to the Salem Costco. We were over halfway through our tour of the store and had made multiple notes that made it look like it would benefit us to join when we were approached by Bryan Holman asking if we had entered without a card. We explained that yes, we were looking around to determine if we wanted to join. He said they don't do that. I explained that we had been told they did, and I know of other stores that allow it and people what had done just that, we explained we had been told about it by a friend. He said, no, non-members are not allowed in the store. We were stunned, and after a very long pause, he told us we could continue looking today but that it wasn't allowed, FOR SAFETY REASONS... Ummm OK. I asked him if we were unsafe? To which he paused, then said, no that wasn't it, and I said that is what you said. My husband then thanked him and we walked away from him. At that point we determined this was NOT a place we wanted to shop. Even if we had found enough reasons for us to join, Costco, particularly where this Manager, Bryan Holman, and his "safety concerns" worked. It was the most ridiculous comment we had heard in a long time! So we let him know we would be leaving immediately and would NOT be joining. We left the store and went to purchase what we needed at other stores. We spent $1,400.00 on various household items and then made an appointment to have tires installed elsewhere, for $1000 and we still need them for a second car which will probably be another $500+. Obviously, Costco, and this one in particular has no problem losing potential customers and $3000+. They are a huge corporate entity that relies on quantity NOT quality or service. I would rather go elsewhere and pay more that be treated in such a rude way. On their corporate site we found out that Costco does not allow email comments, they have a chat system with 3 options that are no longer available, hence this Yelp review. Customer Service is an art form that is long lost in today's world. We will be taking our money elsewhere and would encourage others to do so as well. They don't care about you, just their bottom line.

Costco apparently has a big sale this week on dead auto batteries. I bought two, neither of which worked because neither of them had a charge despite their representations to the contrary. Went to Walmart and had a functioning charged battery in the Honda in less than 10 minutes. i'll buy some gas at Costco and if I'm ever in the market for a dead car battery, I might consider them, but it when it comes to actually functioning batteries or other automotive services I will pass them by as an unreliable vendor.

Love the spring when Costco gets in their healthy plants, potting soil and trees. They have a good selection this year. Never disappointed!
