“Such amazing, caring and helpful staff. Brad was super helpful and Great. Danny (I think his name was) did great working his first day at the register. We will definitely be back and stop in over other thrift stores. Every customer that was in before closing was still treated like a friend and with respect unlike other businesses.”

“I was a volunteer there and also drove for meals on wheels. Eventually I ended up getting hired on staff. This was the best place I have ever worked. They really care about helping people, and want to do it in the most effect way with the highest quality. I can't speak highly enough about this organization and the people there.”

“This is an excellent hands-on museum for kids and teens to explore. There are several historic buildings that show the history of early Oregon missionaries and settlers in the area. And then there is the mill structures, such as the machine shop & the picker house, that show you all of the steps involved in the process of creating fabric from wool. Frequently there are people using looms on the fourth floor of the Mill building, weaving fabric while you watch, who can answer all of your questions. Our children from elementary age up to college students were all fully engaged and loved exploring this place thoroughly. We suggest giving yourself at least two hours to see most of things here. The gift shops are also well worth seeing.Note: As Historic buildings, not all of these areas are fully wheelchair or stroller accessible. There’s also some uneven flooring and ground throughout.”

“Great little place. It's like a typical thrift store, only everything is absolutely, 100% free. Kinda hard to believe, but it's true. And they actually have some decent (dare I even say nice) clothes here. I got a tan Land's End jacket that should keep we warm all winter long. God bless this place and the people who work here.”

“I can't tell you enough good things about this place . Melinda is a miracle worker who took time out and then some to help me. And the young man at the desk, he is really really nice as well. I recommend this to anyone in times of hardship. If they don't help or can't they will tell you who can.”

“This is very much a curated second-hand store. You get the feeling they only sell the best items donated and then make the effort to display their wares attractively. Because of this, the prices might seem to be on the higher side, but take heart, on most of the price tags you can see exactly what dates the price decreases. So, if you love it, but not the original price, you can take your chances it will still be there when the price decreases. It’s like the Las Vegas of Salem thrift stores.”

“I like the boys and girls club sports programs. They definitely do a good job organizing wise. Some coaches are a little interesting, but I do realize some are new at coaching and are regular parents. The only downside is parking is hectic, so I try and carpool.”

“The employees and volunteers here are some of the best people I've met since I've moved to Oregon from California. They have been nothing but kind and helpful.”

“This agency has helped us rehome many cats and kittens from the coast, and a long time ago, when it was still the Wilamette Humane Society, I fostered a wonderful Labrador from there. The people are wonderful and helpful, they are well-trained in bringing people and animals together. The facility is clean and well-designed, incorporating outdoor elements like innovative catios and large, covered wood-chipped dog runs. There is a lovely outdoor columbarium for sitting and enjoying the semi-rural setting out on Turner Road behind the Salem National Guard airfield”
