I worked here in August 2022 for 2 weeks. I agree with one of the reviewers that said the employees at the office are all rude except for the receptionist. In addition they pay way less than other caregiving company’s and during orientation they will constantly hype up a 25 cent raise if you follow all their rules, etc. like they had way too many expectations too just for a quarter raise? Get out of here. Another thing is you will be filling out tons of paperwork, that’s what the orientation is mostly about-paperwork. Then they make you clean the bathroom to see if you’re capable of doing so, I didn’t have an issue with this because I like to clean but for others it may seem like these people are putting you at such a low level. Lastly the scheduler Holly is very rude, did not accommodate my scheduling needs, literally gave 2 clients that lived in Monmouth to others That lived further away! To me that doesn’t make sense then would give me clients 30-40 minutes away who only needs care for 4 hours, that does not work for me! Totally felt like she discriminated against me (must have hated my tattoos by how she would look at them in such a disgusted look). Then once when I went to pick up my check nagged at me and embarrassed me in front of other staff members like I was a child because I didn’t get the tb test done in her time frame. Probably the worst company I have worked for in my life. Owner works in this location too yet doesn’t bother to introduce himself, weird.

Absolutely disrespectful staff. Their door is near a covid testing center with no line directions. One staff came out and was condescending to the patients about being in the wrong spot, as if we knew. Another staff pulled in quickly and dangerously around children and qhen someone mentioned it he flipped us off. Then the first woman could be seen throwing a tantrum through the window. If this is how they treat strangers I am terrified about how they treat their clients.

I worked for ComForCare for 5 years. When I started I had no prior experience with being a caregiver. I was very impressed with the level of training and hands-on role play that they provided. Each year I worked there they continued to improve and expand that training, including adding a mentoring program. I was trained as a mentor to contact and support new hires. At CFC they are really good about matching the caregiver to the client for compatibility. They want it to be a good experience for both of them. The office was like family to me. I made many lifelong friends with the staff and clients that I worked with. During the time I worked there I even referred several clients to CFC and they were very happy with their level of care and support that they received. I would highly recommend ComForCare if you are looking for a company to work for or if you are a client looking for care.

I worked for ComForCare for five years, first as a caregiver and then as admin. I enjoyed my time and learned a lot over the years. It felt like a family environment, and they ultimately encouraged me to pursue my dreams of becoming a nurse.I really enjoyed working with my clients, most definitely the best part.

I'm an RN. I applied for an opening at this agency. I had an informal interview with the RN manager Tammy who was delightful. I also had a lengthy conversation with a field RN who was also a joy. I ultimately was offered a variable, part-time position with pay that was >20.00/hour less than my Mon-Fri position. The autonomy of the position was enticing, so I had officially accepted. I was asked to present to the office to complete a background check. Upon arrival, I met an office staff member, Lauren. She informed me that I was late. I presented her with an E-mail I had sent her a week and a half earlier, clearly noting that I was going to run about 15 minutes behind. She replied, “I can’t check my email every hour of every day”. She then presented me with a stack of paperwork and a continued foul attitude. This paperwork was clearly lengthy and extremely redundant, including a 4-page application requesting the past 10 years of employment history and living arrangements. I was taken aback by this due to the fact that I was told that I simply needed to complete a background check and that I had already been offered a position. I inquired numerous times about the necessity to reiterate identical information on numerous forms that I had previously provided via my resume. Lauren noted, "the information has to be in your own handwriting and we have policies here we have to uphold". Nearing completion, of what felt like an investigation, I was presented with a urine test. I inquired about this related to the fact that I was uninformed of this additional information. Again. She noted that she likes for the test to be a "surprise". I completed the test requested. Three days later, I received a phone call from Lauren, noting that they had decided to revoke the job offer. She continued to say that she didn't feel that I would be caring enough for this position. I clarified that I am an RN and that my top priority is to care for my patients. She also noted that I had an attitude. I inquired with her about if she understood why I may have been put off, related to the unprofessionalism and lack of communication. She replied, “no I don’t”.If you are any type of care provider interested in a position with this agency I would highly recommend researching the home caregiving agencies in Salem. You will quickly find that ComForCare’s ratings are dead last. This situation was clearly a blessing in disguise. Additionally, if you are an RN you deserve better than what this agency can provide.

ComForcare is a great company. They have grown fast and its understandably why. Like many businesses, when they were new they had their short comings (the main one was balancing # of caregivers to # of clients) but they have worked hard to become a great company. Their training is excellent, caregivers are personable, staff is friendly, and they work quickly to get you or your family member the help they need. And the fact that they are doing so well during this Covid pandemic should speak volumes.

Out of the two weeks of care we have had many no call no shows poor company for people their tending to have to be on hold for houres just to find out what the hells going on only to be hanged up on it's just adding unneeded stress on those in their care it's a awful place and I would not recommend
