This review is for service. Extra star for the rest of the store, good sales team. Been sitting in my car for over 20 minutes in the Express Maintenance bay currently. Service guys will walk by my car and not say a word. They'll chat with each other and laugh and stuff, but they won't tell me what's up. I'm pretty much the only one in here. I think a simple "I'll get to you in a moment" will make me feel better. Been coming here for several years and it's a similar feeling every time. I don't feel cared for as a customer.

I have been looking to buy my second car for a while. I started conversation via text and email with Leo and then he referred me to Devin, the sales person. I live in Portland and in order to make a trip to Salem to purchase the car I am interested, I needed to know some more details. Leo sent me the Carfax which I appreciate it. I asked about details like how many car keys would come with it and just normal stuff but no response for either of them. I asked if they covered Costco Program so no answer for that either. I am not sure at this point if I want to go to Salem and check out the car. I have been very clear with these 2 gentlemen what I am looking for exactly. I feel like the communication could be better as customer service. This is not my first car neither the last one I would finance. That made me think that it is better to do not purchase a car from this dealership and stop everything right now and not going forward. That is why I give 3 stars.

I’ve recently purchased a 2023 Corolla hatchback. I have been utilizing their free services as often as I can! I typically take my car through their service center to have my vehicle washed once a week or every other week. I’ve asked for a quick vacuum and an outside wash, but I’m left disappointed almost every time! I’ve stopped asking for a vacuum, because it never looks like it’s been done. My floor mats are still left covered in sand after a weekend beach trip and my seats are covered in crumbs. So I’ve lowered my expectations and stopped asking for the interior to be vacuumed. I still go often to have my car washed though, however every time I get it back, there are multiple large spaces that are left neglected. My wheel wells aren’t even touched, I don’t expect them to be deep cleaned, but they are completely untouched and it doesn’t blend well with the rest of the car being cleaned. Half of my back end isn’t being washed either. I’ve noticed the top, front and sides of my car are being taken care of, but the back end and wheel wells are severely neglected. I’ve had to take my car back through immediately, to have them redo it, because it’s quite embarrassing driving around with a very clean car, but the back end has been missed. I’ve been told by the service center that this is a recurring problem they’ve dealt with, they apologize and take care of it within 30 minutes and they are always very patient when I bring up my frustration. However, it never seems to get better each time I go. I don’t want to stop using their services, because in the end we all know it’s built into the cost, but I’m tired of receiving my car back in poor condition. I’ve gone with the expectations that I’ll have to ask them to redo it each time now. I actually do enjoy having my car taken care of, I don’t mind taking the time to have it done often, I also don’t expect it to be done professionally and perfect, but I do expect the whole outside of the body to be cleaned enough to not look like a mess anymore. Anyways, I’ve tried to voice my concerns instead of leaving a review, but I feel like there has been no improvement. A 3 star review is harsh, but dealing with the service center has been most of my experience and this is where my review is targeted. I have many photos of the condition my car has been returned to me in, however google won’t allow me to post the photos with my review.

I have had the best service here while purchasing my new 2023 Toyota RAV4 . Josiah and Kelly made the entire process absolutely enjoyable and easy. They had exceptional customer service and were able to answer any and all my questions during the entire process. The atmosphere of the dealership was inviting and everyone I interacted with were amazing .Ask for either Josiah or Kelly! They have outstanding customer service!I highly recommend Capitol Toyota if you’re in search of a new vehicle!

First I have to say if you think car dealerships are all the same I would have agreed but now!! Capitol Toyota is a game changer! Mitch Lucas is one of the kindest, caring and most helpful man I could've asked for! Everything was smooth from start to finish and David Williams was kind and they both took extra caution with cleaning to protect our ill daughter! This was a huge blessing for our family thank you!

The dealer is a upgraded nice building the sales person Andrew he a great guy he going to bat for finance and trying to get the right car for me I have had bad pas for bad sales staff not. Andrew he kind and professional but a car from Andrew ask for him when you show up at the dealership guys these people don’t play games they get a approval before you drive the car off the lot the process is easy and quick as long you have your paperwork in order. Salem Toyota is a great dealership.

I had the pleasure of working with Mitch Lucas. He was such a joy to work with for my new car purchase! Not only was he knowledgeable and not pushy, he went above and beyond to make sure my experience was world class! (I have over 20 years of world class experience as a food and beverage manager at some of the most prestigious private clubs and resorts in the country, so I know great service when I see it!) Mitch even sent my kids a fun video text message, thanking them and hoping they enjoy their new ride! I will be telling everyone I know to work with not only Mitch, but the entire Capitol Auto Group! It was worth the drive from Portland! Thanks for the great experience Mitch!

This was my first car buying experience and beforehand my friends and family gave me ample warning that the process was known to be one of the worst purchasing experiences of a person's life. However, I was pleasantly surprised to have Kelly Styles and Jonathan Myrie Castro make them all liars because they made buying my first car an amazing and enjoyable day. They let my group test drive the cars on our own and made sure we were all comfortable throughout the entire experience and I left that lot satisfied and excited in a great new car.

My husband and I bought a new Sienna from Capitol and had a great experience. It was worth the drive down from Portland. Pricing is reasonable, especially for such an in-demand car and the whole process was smooth and friendly. Ask for Billy, he is a great, helpful, no pressure salesperson.

Buying my new car at Capitol was a breeze working with Mitch Lucas. He answered all of my questions quickly leading up to the actual purchase and didn't make me feel pressured when we were making the deal. Would highly recommend him to my friends :) Also, working with JC on the finance side was great! Solid team at Capitol!

I had a terrible experience with this place and it ended up costing me over $300 to get back home. It started with an inquiry on a nice looking used vehicle. I asked them to send photos and verify the condition with me before I bought tickets to go see the car over 2.5 hours from my home. They verified everything was good and it looked okay in the photos, although I did see some concerning areas in the paint. I asked the salesperson about the condition and didn't receive any additional photos or anything. I took them at their word and went to look at the car. It was awful and had been painted and rust holes had been patched up with bondo and spray paint. You could see the waves in the paint that any competent person would notice. I asked how they were going to help me get back home and was told they would do nothing. According to Rory Casebeer, my salesperson's manager, they would do nothing as I had not negotiated it into the deal. Really? They were completely dishonest and Rory would not even come downstairs to greet or speak with me about the situation. He obviously did not care one bit about honesty or customer satisfaction. Bottom line, I will not be doing business here ever again. I will let everyone know about my experience.

I recently bought a car from Capitol Toyota. I knew what I wanted going in to the dealership, but I as this was my first time buying a car, and I’m very introverted so I was super stressed and did want to deal with the stereotypical car salesman, but my experience was nothing like that. I was set up with Mitch Lucas and he showed me a car. I knew I wanted this car the second I saw it, but I took for a test drive and he was so friendly and not too pushy. He was very laidback and made my car buying process very easy. The way he sold me the car was very funny and it was just an overall good experience. I definitely recommend.

We stuck with Capitol Toyota through the 2022 inventory shortages, and finally got the car we wanted, without the markup that most dealers were still applying, this year. It was a pleasure dealing with them. The after-sales service and maintenance on both our Toyotas has been great, too.
