Great store for craft beer and imports, I've been coming here regularly for over a year now. However, I had a rather odd interaction with a young male employee I have not seen before. My Fiancé sets the beer on the checkout counter and the greeting we get is, "How much did that ring run ya?" Not even a, "Hello" first.Pro tip: Get a job other than being a cashier at a convenience store and you won't have to be so lustful of other people's belongings.

One of the best selections of beer in Salem, especially imports from Europe. Owner is really nice guy, but it’s hard because they deal with a lot of folks that try to steal beer from them.

Large selection, but make sure you CHECK EXPIRATION DATES. My 8 year old got a chocolate from there and after saying it tasted funny i looked at the date and it expired 3 months prior! I went there again today and multiple things i wanted were expired.

Do not buy vapes here - twice now I’ve gotten vapes with burnt coils; tried both in store like they say to do. It’s obviously a bad batch and they still sell them - knowing they’re defective.They won’t refund. Over $50 wasted now.Great way to do business.

I've been shopping here for years with my family, being both the youngest in my family and under 21. I have accompanied my dad when he purchases beer here many times, typically picking out something from the non-alcoholic section for myself before checking out. When we got to the checkout counter we found out that because I am not yet 21 and stayed by my dad's side rather than hanging out in the non-alcoholic section (which is mixed with the hard seltzers and ciders), my dad was not able to purchase the drinks, until at least 24 hours later. My family will certainly never be coming here again.

update - 2022: Horrible experience. I have shoppped the aisles at American Market, formerly Capital Market, for beer and ciders for over ten years. I have frequently had my childeren with me. Tonight my youngest daughter, who happens to be 20, was ID'd, even though my purchases were for me and my of-age family members. The clerk's logic was that because my minor daughter was with me, that she is also shoppinng. Funny, that hasn't been the case during any of our other countless visits, as far back as 2012, when my youngest was 9. Absolute waste of time tonight. I've probably spent close to $10k here over a dozen years, but tonight was told I cannot complete my purchase, and cannot purchase alcohol at this store for the next 24 hours.I WILL NOT BE BACK. P.S. We miss Henry2017: Great ? selection, and the local owners are so friendly.

Watch out this place likes to steal money from you. My wife bought some stuff that her total was 20 something dollars we had 19 dollars on 1 card and was suppose to get charged 2 more dollars on another card.. Well turns out next day cashier says you owe me 7 dollars, why when we paid more then our total, huh Robbie? No you owe me money.. Anyway 1 week later my wife goes up and gets some more items this time we paid cash same cashier and total comes out to 24 dollars she calls me up after leaving store and tells me the total I told her to go back In and question the total. Turns out they have a beer that rings up as wine we got money refunded back that day still waiting on owner to get back to me almost 1 month later on our first time we got over charged and accused of owing more money… Lost our business for good beer is cheaper else where if you buy domestic

They have amazing selection and staff are polite. They have a icee machine too which is nice and accept ebt. I would give them five stars, but they don’t have AC and while that doesn’t bother me as a customer I don’t like the fact that the employee has to work in an air conditioned room while it’s 100 degrees outside. It’s too hot for that.
